BARING THE BEAST
Twenty-five year old Oliver Brown is addicted. Two years ago, he was at the height of his career as “Nikki Star,” fashion model, porn actor, partier without peer. Then came the accident. Hiding his scars, both emotional and physical, he’s gone into hiding. But fine clothing is some solace. A new suit by De-bussy? Better even than a ride on his motorcycle Hulk or all the things he used to give and take on camera.
Enter Leslie Scott, the flamboyant, dark-haired, heel-and-tiny-short-wearing twink sent to deliver Oliver’s newest fix. A firecracker, Leslie is dapper, generous, in touch with his feminine side but all man, and as gorgeous as any garment ever made. He makes Oliver dream of ending his reclusion, of recaptur-ing a future forever denied him. But for that to happen, Leslie would have to strip him to the bone. Only then will they rebuild life from the bottom up.

Excerpt- Suit Yourself

“Fuck, you look so hot,” Oliver said as he leapt onto the bed and straddled Leslie’s calves. “You have the perfect arse, you know that? Tight and just waiting for me.”
Leslie shivered, those words causing goose bumps to form on his over sensitive skin. “It could be the heel-wearing,” he mused. “I like to exercise my butt muscles when I wear them and dance. They say it’s a good way to tone up.” A hot body covered his and he closed his eyes in bliss.
“You wear heels?” Oliver’s tongue licked at his ear. “That is fucking sexy. I love that image.” His voice was husky, full of de-sire. “Will you wear them for me one day? Let me fuck you in them?”
Leslie’s heart filled with joy. He had a picture of himself on his phone in a corset, hat and heels. He’d have to show it to Oliver one day and get his engine even more revved up.
“Oh, God yes,” he exclaimed as Oliver’s tongue trailed down his shoulder blades and back. He gripped the bed sheets tighter at the sensation. “I have this pair of red ones you’ll like, and…oh, hell yes…” His voice tailed off in pure pleasure as Oliver parted his arse cheeks and lapped at his hole. Then the bliss of having fin-gers inside him, opening him wide, rendered him speechless. He gyrated and made little mewling kitten noises as Oliver proceeded to probe his hole, pushing his tongue inside him with wet, sloppy sounds that made Leslie’s cock throb.
He lost himself in the feeling of being explored, dominated and well and truly prepped. When he felt the cool dribble of lube at his hole and between his cheeks he sighed in relief and pushed his backside toward the man currently taking him to such pleasurable heights. When his hips were pulled up and Oliver’s cock nudged his entrance, Leslie pushed back and groaned as it sank deep inside him.

Susan Mac Nicol is a self confessed bookaholic, an avid watcher of videos of sexy pole dancing men, self confessed geek and nerd and in love with her Smartphone. This little treasure is called ‘the boyfriend’ by her long suffering hus-band, who says if it vibrated, there’d be no need for him. Susan hasn’t had the heart to tell him there’s an app for that…
She is never happier than when sitting in the confines of her living room/study/on a cold station platform scribbling down words and making two men fall in love. She is a romantic at heart and believes that everything happens (for the most part) for a reason.  She likes to think of herself as a ‘half full’ kinda gal, although sometimes that philosophy is sorely tested.
Lover of walks in the forest, theatre pro-ductions, dabbling her toes in the cold North Sea and the vibrant city of London where you can ex-perience all four seasons in a day , she is a hater of pantomime (so please don’t tar and feather her), duplicitous people, bigotry and self righteous idiots.
In an ideal world, Susan Mac Nicol would be Queen of England and banish all the bad people to the Never Never Lands of Wherever -Who Cares. As that’s never going to happen, she contents herself with writing her HEA stories and pre-tending, that just for a little while, good things happen to good
people.

Blog Tour, Review and Giveaway: Piece by Piece by Teodora Kostova

May 5, 2015 by Denise

Synopsis:

Sometimes to reach the surface you have to fall to the bottom first…
For the past ten years, Riley Davis’ life has been overshadowed by the tragic death of his partner. Fluctuating between alcohol induced daze, clinical depression and throwing all his time and effort into his business, Riley doesn’t believe, or even hope, that his life will ever be worth living again.

Until Sonnie Frye drops by his haberdashery shop, changing his life forever.

Sonnie is a man who likes getting what he wants, when he wants it. He’s worked hard to establish himself as Queen Victoria theatre’s chief costume designer, collecting multiple awards – and high-profile clients – along the way. Sonnie is used to putting his needs, goals and desires first, unwilling to compromise his own happiness for anybody else.
Until he meets a handsome shop owner whose eyes are so sad that they immediately tug at Sonnie’s heartstrings.

Seeing something he wants, Sonnie is determined to get under Riley’s skin and, preferably, into his bed. But he soon discovers the task is not that easy. For the first time in his life, Sonnie may need to put someone else’s needs before his own, and re-evaluate what really matters in life.

Will the two men stand side by side to overcome their differences, and everything else life throws at them? Or will it all become too much to bear, shaking them to their very core, destroying everything they’ve worked so hard to achieve?

***Sexual content, 18+ only***
***Piece by Piece is a standalone novel. It’s the full story of Sonnie and Riley***

Denise’s Review:
I “read” the audio book to Dance, and am now waiting for the audio for Mask (because I LOVED the narrator), but didn’t want to wait for Piece by Piece. It is a stand-alone, so you should have no problems with the fact that you see all the characters in their relationships.
This story is about Sonnie, the head costumer designer at the Queen Victoria theater, and Riley, a man who is still so caught up in his grief, 10 years after his partner’s death, that it is incredibly hard to fathom that pain.
I won’t pretend that Riley’s ongoing grief, and failure to find a way past it was easy for me to understand, because it wasn’t. I found myself, several times in the book, getting frustrated with Riley, despite the fact that all the experts say that healing from grief happens in its own time. Sonnie was the epitome of patience, which was really fascinating to read, because it is obvious from the beginning of the book that he is a man who previously had been rather self-absorbed, and was used to being at the top of the pile. He only showed his frustration once during the book, and it was entirely warranted.
The relationship between these two was described as very co-dependent by Riley’s therapist, and it shows. Although they are loving and caring, they really have a hard time being separate people for most of the book. When Riley finally realizes that he needs to find himself, it is late in the book and they separate. I really loved how they were able to show their love for one another, but could see that being apart would be devastating to both.
The last few chapters in the book were the toughest for me, and I found myself wishing they had been longer, and more detailed. So much of this book focused on Riley’s grief and how it expressed itself. Yet when it came time to actually deal with that, it was almost entirely dealt with “off-screen”, and at the very end. I would have really liked to have had the chance to see how these two would be able to handle the separation with more than a handful of emails between them. Many months pass in only a chapter or two, which is the intent of the author. However, as a reader, I would have liked to see a bit of how they each handled that separation.
It is obvious that these two learn to love each other, limitations at all. One of the things I appreciated the most was that they became friends long before they became lovers. A true necessary for a story such as this, with a man stuck in his grief for ten long years.
And the epilogue, that made it all better! So much changed by that point, and it was so nice to see where these two beautiful men landed.
My final determination on this book is 4 pieces of eye candy. Definitely a touching addition to this series.

**One blog commenter will win an e-book copy of Piece by Piece.

Hi, my name is Teodora and I live in London with my husband and my son. I’ve been writing ever since I can remember, but it became my full time job in 2010 when I decided that everything else I’ve tried bores me to death and I have to do what I’ve always wanted to do, but never had to guts to fully embrace. I’ve been a journalist, an editor, a personal assistant and an interior designer among other things, but as soon as the novelty of the new, exciting job wears off, I always go back to writing. Being twitchy, impatient, loud and hasty are not qualities that help a writer, because I have to sit alone, preferably still, and write for most of the day, but I absolutely love it. It’s the only time that I’m truly at peace and the only thing I can do for more than ten minutes at a time – my son has a bigger attention span than me.
When I’m procrastinating, I like to go to the gym, cook Italian meals (and eat them), read, listen to rock music, watch indie movies and True Blood re-runs. Or, in the worst case scenario, get beaten at every Nintendo Wii game by a very inventive kid.

Release Day Review: Day and Knight by Dirk Greyson

May 4, 2015 by Denise

Blurb:

As former NSA, Dayton (Day) Ingram has national security chops and now works as a technical analyst for Scorpion. He longs for fieldwork, and scuttling an attack gives him his chance. He’s smart, multilingual, and a technological wizard. But his opportunity comes with a hitch—a partner, Knighton (Knight), who is a real mystery. Despite countless hours of research, Day can find nothing on the agent, including his first name!

Former Marine Knight crawled into a bottle after losing his family. After drying out, he’s offered one last chance: along with Day, stop a terrorist threat from the Yucatan. To get there without drawing suspicion, Day and Knight board a gay cruise, where the deeply closeted Day and equally closeted Knight must pose as a couple. Tensions run high as Knight communicates very little and Day bristles at Knight’s heavy-handed need for control.

But after drinking too much, Day and Knight wake up in bed. Together. As they near their destination, they must learn to trust and rely on each other to infiltrate the terrorist camp and neutralize the plot aimed at the US’s technological infrastructure, if they hope to have a life after the mission. One that might include each other.

Guest Post: Dirk Greyson

Hello all.  I’m Dirk, the romantic suspense and paranormal alter ego for author Andrew Grey.  Andrew created me because he wanted to write different types of stories.  My first story, Day and Knight is very different form what Andrew’s stories.  For one thing I have a different voice than he does.   Andrew’s stories tend to be on the sweet side, where mine are definitely edgier.  Also, Day and knight is planned as the start of a new series that will feature the same main characters through a number of stories.  That’s a departure from what Andrew does.  So he decided to create me.  I’m the action, adventure, lust, and love with emphasis on action both in and out of the bedroom.  🙂  I really love writing those parts of the story.  For Day and Knight I created two alpha heroes, strong and independent.  However they both have their issues.  Knight is quiet and keeps to himself.  He’s also the seasoned operative and tends to look at Day as a rookie, which really pisses him off.  Day is a near genius.  Data and computers sing to him and he can find anything anywhere.  her they make a formidable pair, if they don’t kill each other first.
See what I mean?  Day and Knight is a different type of story.  And I expect the adventures will continue in late 2015 with their second story Sun and Shadow.
Dirk’s Bio:

Dirk is very much an outside kind of man.  He loves travel and seeing new things.  Dirk worked in corporate America for way too long and now spends  his days writing, gardening, and taking care of the home he shares with his partner of more than two decades.  He has a Masters Degree and all the other accessories that go with a corporate job.  But he is most proud of the stories he tells and the life he’s built.  Dirk lives in Pennsylvania in a century old home and is blessed with an amazing circle of friends.

Denise’s Review:

When Dirk Greyson (aka Andrew Grey) told me in April that this was coming out, and it was going to be something different, I had to say I was a bit nervous. I mean you know what to expect with an Andrew Grey book. Great characters with flaws, but always finding their HEA by the end of the book. Very different things happening (the man does some amazing research!) from book to book, and yet at the core is love. So, why mess with a good thing???

Well, have no worries!!! Think of this as an Andrew Grey novel, but just drawn out. The characters have a HFN, but the reader leaves the book knowing there is more to come for them. When we met Day, I wasn’t sure what to think of him. I think at first I thought he might be a mousy nerdy technical analyst, and Knight would be the big bad alpha male. Turns out, I was half right. These men both had alpha drawing you in. And it was quite the ride to get there.

Both very closeted, prior to their cruise adventure to the Yucatan area, they end up in bed, and learning more and more about each other along their short journey. It would have been too much to expect these men to be “in love” in just a few short days. However, you know they are on a path to being partners in all senses of the term.

With lots of action, things blowing up, sexual tension that you needed a machete to cut through, and some deep grief to be worked through, these men have quite the road to their HEA, but I am so excited to see where Mr. Greyson is taking us on this ride.

Final determination is 4.5 pieces of eye candy, and I honestly cannot wait to see what is next for Day and Knight.

Blog Tour Stop Review and Giveaway: Fourth and Long by Michele Micheal Rakes

April 28, 2015 by Denise

Synopsis:

Irus Beaumont, cornerback for the Highlanders, has an issue with his nemesis: wideout for the Pirates, Jackson McCoy. Partly jealous over Jackson’s skill and ability to scrub coverage, Irus also struggles against an unbearable attraction to the receiver. Firmly ensconced in the closet, Irus also has a no football player rule, leaving his desires for Jackson unfulfilled. Anti-gay sentiment in the league keeps Irus closeted, even though he’d rather be out and proud.

When Jackson McCoy suffers a gay bashing at the hands of his team mates after winning the national championship, he finds himself traded to the Highlanders. Spring training brings out Jackson’s competitive nature, eliciting the aggression of his new team’s cornerback, Irus Beaumont.

In practice, Irus hurts Jackson badly. The injury places Jackson on the reserve roster. Jacks has plenty of time to contemplate his life, career, and his attraction to the sexy cornerback. Off to Orlando for the best rehab where guilt inspires Irus to call him every evening, Jackson can’t stop thinking about Irus, or what the season holds for his team.

Denise’s Review:

I
happened upon this book and author when my peer blogger Bec from Bike
Book Reviews (bikebookreviews.blogspot.com) raved about it. I read
something about hot men on men action, football and a nice size length
(he he) and decided that this was a book that needed my immediate
attention. So I was excited to get on this blog tour.

I
will admit that I didn’t read Saving Kane, the first in this series, so
I came into this book blind but it can definitely be read as a stand
alone. **Warning, there is discussion of childhood sexual abuse.**

These two men, both broken in different ways, were able to find in each other a missing piece to heal the other.

How Jackson and Irus get together is not your typical m/m romance setup. After a gay bashing, Jackson is traded to Irus’s team, and they become something alongside adversaries. Irus injures Jackson, and they bond following that, as Jackson heads to Florida for rehab.

There are several storylines here that converge, to bring these men to their HFN. Coming out in a sport that is notoriously violent, and being gay just makes it even more challenging. A sexual abuse case that rivals the Penn State one is prevalent. My favorite though, is Miss Beulah, who you will meet through Irus. What a fantastic character, and honestly left me wanting more of her story. I loved that Mikey gave her more purpose than just a side character who pops in and out for moral support. She does that, but has a much bigger place in the story, and I love that Mikey went there with her.

This book is a HFN, as there is more to come for these characters, and the football team. There will be resolution for the football teams, and I forsee a legal trial ahead. However, it was great to see Jackson make good strides ahead in his issues, as he found a soulmate in Irus, who epitomized the big scary football player with a heart of gold. I cannot wait to see where these characters end up.

If I hadn’t known there was another book coming, I might have rated this book 4 pieces of eye candy for leaving us out in the cold at the end. But fortunately the author has been redeemed as book 2 is in the works. 🙂

So, this was an easy 5 pieces of eye candy for me. Hot men, football and an involved and long story. All the things I absolutely love about reading.

Michele Rakes Guest Post: Sex in Romance Novels

Remember back in the day, when if you were lucky, you got
that great paragraph on page 69? Some novel by Kathleen Woodwiss with the
reluctant heroine? The man she was to fall in love with her captor and when he
forces himself upon her… Instead of suffering a tragedy, she blossoms under his
one scornful love.
Bullshit, yeah? Still, though, you recall that spark of
excitement from reading something that usually took place off stage left? There
is a debate on sex in romance novels, either gay or straight, and everyone has
an opinion. Yes, like assholes, but everyone is entitled to that opinion. We
want what we want and we like what we like. Some of us want lust. A few of us
crave the carnal. There are characters meant to suffer and survive. Desire
motivates a lot of people in reality and art seems to imitate that, badly at
times.
There are readers who are over the moon to have the bedroom
hours kept in the dark. As well as those of us who chomp at the bit to see the
guy lashed to the bed with a bit in his mouth. Some of us have dark desires and
some of us have lovey squishy yearnings… And there’s books for all of us.
In my opinion the debate isn’t what books should have, but
what books are for which readers. Desire is a base instinct within humans. Animal
lust. Initial attraction is fueled by this desire. Gay. Straight. Bisexual. We
have people in our lives we love and desire. When a couple first gets together,
there is that flush of heat, the insatiable need to live in each other’s skin.
We fuck like bunnies. Then we fuck some more. Personally, I
like that kind of reality in the books I read. Have I read books with too many
sex scenes? Yes. Only because they no longer propelled the characters forward
in their arc. Each scene needs to grow something between the main characters,
whether it’s hate and anger, love and lust, or the heartfelt desire to spend
the rest of their lives joined at the hip. Sex in a novel must be there for
more than just the feels. We love the feels, but we need movement. We must have
our characters moving in time or else the story becomes stagnant. No amount of
sex is going to save a stagnant story.
Sometimes, I feel l’ve put too much sex in my stories, but
when you’re writing about a character addicted to sex what’s a writer to do?
Make sure every scene accomplishes something vital to the characterization or
plot. A beta reader sent me an honest critique. It was for Fourth and Long. He said
(a paraphrase), “I was thinking, oh not another sex scene, but then I was
surprised. The character’s had grown. They changed. Irus became less selfish.
The scene was about Jackson.” This made it new. Made it more about the feelings
of the two characters involved. There was depth. Emotion. Growth.
Sex, like violence, can’t be gratuitous. In real life,
violence, death, and sex affect real people. For someone involved, it matters,
and for fictional people, it should matter too. There are people who read these
books because they like the idea of sex, just not the real form and function.
These scenes sweep them away into a world of love, lust, and emotion. A world
they either gladly or unhappily watch from outside the window, looking in with
glorious wonder.
On the flip side, there are folks who don’t want to be
bogged down in sex scene after sex scene. Even one is too much. They want plot.
The good guys pitted against the bad with love winning out in the end. The
feels are enough.
So, how should we write?
We write what the characters need and let the readers find
us. If your characters are wanting to fuck like bunnies, let them, but only
show us the most important moments.

All else can happen exit stage left.

Five-ish Good Questions: Alexa Land

April 24, 2015 by Denise

Five-ish good
questions with Alexa Land
(A feature
on Two Chicks Obsessed with Books and Eye Candy)

Today, we are interviewing Alexa Land, bestselling author of Belonging. This is the story of Gianni Dombruso and Zan Tillane. Thank you Alexa for being game to play!
TCO: Fruit…so many
varieties. I heard from a birdie that “exotic” fruit might turn Zan into a
baseball pitcher. What fruits has he said “Bloody Hell No” to?
AL: Gianni has this crazy idea to shake Zan up a little by
introducing interesting things into his diet. He tries tangelos and kumquats,
but a fruit called Buddha’s hand really pushes Zan over the edge and he tries
to send the fruit flying. Who can blame him, really? Take a look at this bad
boy! See why he calls it a mutant space octopus?!

TCO: Zan is a famous, yet
very reclusive, musician. What would his theme song with Gianni be?
AL: In the book, I actually reference a song called So Beautiful
by Darren Hayes (formerly of Savage Garden). Darren wrote that song for his
husband, and the lyrics are just gorgeous. Give it a listen!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HpA7UZvWdc
TCO: Gianni, the first
Dombruso POV. He seems to be someone who likes to help. What do we need to know
about Gianni?
AL: Gianni is a really caring individual. He dropped out of
nursing school because of self-doubt, but that nurturing side is still very
much a part of him. At the same time, he’s always felt he needs someone to take
care of him because he thinks he can’t make it on his own. It was great to see
him evolve over the course of Belonging!

TCO: So, I hear that Zan
might look a little like Jared Leto…is that pre or post haircut? Any other
Jared Leto features that come into play here?

AL: Oh, PRE-haircut! Jared became my muse for Zan’s character,
not only because of his (former) long hair and those incredibly soulful eyes,
but because of how relaxed and perfectly at home he is on stage, performing in
front of a crowd of thousands. Here’s one of the photos that inspired me when I
was writing Belonging. I’m not a huge fan of the beard, but those eyes just
kill me!

TCO: Nana gets to be a
Mama again. What is she learning this time around?

AL: She’s never really stopping being a mother. Nana raised her
sons, then her grandsons, Gianni, Dante, Vincent and Mikey, after their parents
were killed. Later on, she started taking in young gay men whose families
disowned them, including Jessie, her limo driver and assistant. In this book,
Nana adds a puppy to the mix, a big, rambunctious mutt she gets from the
shelter. Nana has a huge heart, it’s evident in all she does!
Thank you for interviewing me!

Cover Reveal and Giveaway: Secret by Kindle Alexander

April 23, 2015 by Denise

Title: Secret
Author: Kindle Alexander
Genre: M/M Romance
Release Date: Summer 2015
Tristan Wilder, self-made millionaire and devastatingly handsome CEO of Wilder-Nation is on the verge of a very lucrative buyout. With tough negotiations ahead, he’s armed with his acquisition pitch, ready to launch the deal of a lifetime. There’s just one glitch. The last thing he expects is to fall for the hot business owner he’s trying to sway.
Dylan Reeves, computer science engineer and founder of the very successful social media site, Secret, is faced with a life-altering decision. A devoted family man with three kids and a wife, Dylan has been living a secret for years. Fiercely loyal to his convictions, his boundaries blur after meeting the striking owner of the corporation interested in acquiring his company. For the first time in his life, reckless desire consumes him when the gorgeous computer mogul makes an offer he can’t refuse.
After
a few minutes of staring at Dylan, who hadn’t looked his way since he entered
the conference room, Tristan cleared his throat, stopping the flow of the
presentation. “Can you all give me a few minutes alone with Mr. Reeves?”
He
could feel every eye turned his way. Dylan was slower to respond. He’d been
reading from the contract and lifted his head, business clearly on his mind.
But the minute their gazes met, Tristan got why Dylan had avoided eye contact.
His gaze held a mixture of both heat and need. Sparks flew between the two of
them and Tristan smiled.
“You
heard him,” Landry said and began shooing everyone out. As the last person
left, Landry came to the center of the table, standing between the two of them.
He clearly thought Tristan’s request hadn’t included him.
“Landry,
I need a private discussion with Mr. Reeves,” Tristan said, rising from his
seat at the end of the table. Landry came immediately to him, standing in front
of him, blocking Dylan from seeing or hearing anything he said.
“I
don’t think that’s a good idea,” Landry whispered so quietly Tristan barely
heard him. “We almost have them, I can see it.”
Tristan
cut his eyes over to Landry’s and motioned with his head for him to move along
out the door with everyone else. Landry’s brow furrowed and he started to shake
his head. Tristan stared at him with intense attitude until he finally left the
room. Tristan had no doubt he’d stand right outside that door. There wasn’t too
much of Wilder, Inc. that Landry wasn’t included in, and he certainly wouldn’t
like being put out of a meeting he’d orchestrated. Tristan moved to a chair
directly beside Dylan who hadn’t uttered a single word since his request for
privacy.
“You
look nice today,” Tristan said quietly, smiling as Dylan’s cheeks grew red.
“Is
that why you made everyone leave?”
“No,
of course not. I could have just told you later, but that whole look’s perfect
on you. The hair’s hot. Pinstripes fit your frame remarkably well. You look
taller, more intimidating. Great look for negotiations or the cover of GQ. You
could do both.” Tristan scooted closer. “Did you get my flowers?” he asked even
quieter.
“I
did. Thank you, but that was a risky move,” Dylan said, clearly ignoring the compliment.
“I
wrote and sealed the card myself. What did you do with the flowers?” Tristan
leaned forward, then moved in a little more, smelling Dylan’s cologne. That had
Dylan pushing back in his chair.
“I
gave them to the concierge that helped me this morning,” Dylan answered and
then backtracked. “I didn’t think I’d be in my room very much and didn’t want
them to go to waste.”
“I
figured you’d do something like that. It’s why I picked those colors. So that
means you’re coming with me tonight?” Tristan asked, his eyes still focused
directly on Dylan’s.
“We’ll
see how things go today. I’m not sure about all this. You lowballed me and I
was just reading about the staffing…” Dylan started, but Tristan lifted a hand
to Dylan’s lips to stop his words. He let his fingers linger as he spoke.
“I
don’t want to talk business yet. I honestly was only informed of the changes to
personnel when I walked in today. From this point forward, you and I will
decide how this sale goes, no one else, but before we do, I want to put
personal before business because they are two separate entities between us.
Will you please go with me tonight? I need to cancel some things if you’re not coming,”
Tristan added at Dylan’s skeptical look.
Best Selling Author Kindle Alexander is an innovative writer, and a genre-crosser who writes classic fantasy, romance, suspense, and erotica in both the male/male and male/female genres. It’s always a surprise to see what’s coming next!
I live in the suburbs of Dallas where it’s true, the only thing bigger than an over active imagination, may be women’s hair!
Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life – I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations – regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal… I don’t want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I’m going to tell you about Kindle.
I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I’ll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died – weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn’t have to be alone.
That time in my life was terrible. It’s everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.
Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness – it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.
Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn’t a time she wasn’t there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It’s its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn’t be here today without her.

One minute he’s telling me to stay away from him. COVER REVEAL from A.E. Via Thank you Jay Aheer!!! BLURB: The Ravens are supposed to be perfect weapons, therefore Scar and Gage should not exist.Oscar “Scar” Calloway was one of the most feared gang leaders on Chicago’s South Side—cold, brutal, and ruthless, even before the assassin enhancements.Gage Harrington was something else entirely—a man whose faith, compassion, and discipline made him a liability in a program built on violence. Both men were taken from desperate circumstances and promised rebirth. But when the science collapses and transformation fails, leaving one blind and the other unpredictable, they get marked for execution. With raw instinct and out of sheer desperation, Scar and Gage form an unlikely alliance to escape the place meant to bury them.Scar is uncontrolled fury, a predator shaped by the streets, and Gage navigates the world with empathy and calm strength. They should hate each other. But the more they fight, the harder it becomes to ignore the pull between them.Their trust is fragile and their natures at odds.Yet, together, they forge something rare and invaluable the Ravens didn’t know they needed to complete the flock.Preorder Link: www.amazon.com/White-Ravens-Book.../dp/B0FRYNC87F...Go to her group for an enticing Excerpt!!! 😍😍www.facebook.com/groups/636610423028342/ ...
