Blurb:
As former NSA, Dayton (Day) Ingram has national security chops and now works as a technical analyst for Scorpion. He longs for fieldwork, and scuttling an attack gives him his chance. He’s smart, multilingual, and a technological wizard. But his opportunity comes with a hitch—a partner, Knighton (Knight), who is a real mystery. Despite countless hours of research, Day can find nothing on the agent, including his first name!
Former Marine Knight crawled into a bottle after losing his family. After drying out, he’s offered one last chance: along with Day, stop a terrorist threat from the Yucatan. To get there without drawing suspicion, Day and Knight board a gay cruise, where the deeply closeted Day and equally closeted Knight must pose as a couple. Tensions run high as Knight communicates very little and Day bristles at Knight’s heavy-handed need for control.
But after drinking too much, Day and Knight wake up in bed. Together. As they near their destination, they must learn to trust and rely on each other to infiltrate the terrorist camp and neutralize the plot aimed at the US’s technological infrastructure, if they hope to have a life after the mission. One that might include each other.

Hello all. I’m Dirk, the romantic suspense and paranormal alter ego for author Andrew Grey. Andrew created me because he wanted to write different types of stories. My first story, Day and Knight is very different form what Andrew’s stories. For one thing I have a different voice than he does. Andrew’s stories tend to be on the sweet side, where mine are definitely edgier. Also, Day and knight is planned as the start of a new series that will feature the same main characters through a number of stories. That’s a departure from what Andrew does. So he decided to create me. I’m the action, adventure, lust, and love with emphasis on action both in and out of the bedroom. 🙂 I really love writing those parts of the story. For Day and Knight I created two alpha heroes, strong and independent. However they both have their issues. Knight is quiet and keeps to himself. He’s also the seasoned operative and tends to look at Day as a rookie, which really pisses him off. Day is a near genius. Data and computers sing to him and he can find anything anywhere. her they make a formidable pair, if they don’t kill each other first.See what I mean? Day and Knight is a different type of story. And I expect the adventures will continue in late 2015 with their second story Sun and Shadow.Dirk’s Bio:Dirk is very much an outside kind of man. He loves travel and seeing new things. Dirk worked in corporate America for way too long and now spends his days writing, gardening, and taking care of the home he shares with his partner of more than two decades. He has a Masters Degree and all the other accessories that go with a corporate job. But he is most proud of the stories he tells and the life he’s built. Dirk lives in Pennsylvania in a century old home and is blessed with an amazing circle of friends.

Denise’s Review:
When Dirk Greyson (aka Andrew Grey) told me in April that this was coming out, and it was going to be something different, I had to say I was a bit nervous. I mean you know what to expect with an Andrew Grey book. Great characters with flaws, but always finding their HEA by the end of the book. Very different things happening (the man does some amazing research!) from book to book, and yet at the core is love. So, why mess with a good thing???
Well, have no worries!!! Think of this as an Andrew Grey novel, but just drawn out. The characters have a HFN, but the reader leaves the book knowing there is more to come for them. When we met Day, I wasn’t sure what to think of him. I think at first I thought he might be a mousy nerdy technical analyst, and Knight would be the big bad alpha male. Turns out, I was half right. These men both had alpha drawing you in. And it was quite the ride to get there.
Both very closeted, prior to their cruise adventure to the Yucatan area, they end up in bed, and learning more and more about each other along their short journey. It would have been too much to expect these men to be “in love” in just a few short days. However, you know they are on a path to being partners in all senses of the term.
With lots of action, things blowing up, sexual tension that you needed a machete to cut through, and some deep grief to be worked through, these men have quite the road to their HEA, but I am so excited to see where Mr. Greyson is taking us on this ride.
Final determination is 4.5 pieces of eye candy, and I honestly cannot wait to see what is next for Day and Knight.
