The Mission by Barbara Elsborg: New Release Review

November 13, 2023 by Denise

Snow! Tick.
Skiing! Tick.
Christmas! Tick.
Stalker! Er…

When Conrad and his ex split up three months before their upcoming work ski trip, Conrad’s unwavering passion for the slopes overshadows his reservations about a holiday anywhere near his ex and his new partner. But as ‘friends’ keep hinting he should cancel, he wishes he’d seen sense earlier. Now it’s too late to get his money back.

A clash of heads at check-in with a handsome stranger sets Conrad’s heart racing. Arlo is bound for the same Austrian resort, sparking Conrad’s daydreams of shared slopes, shared après-ski, shared hot tubs and more…while fully aware that spotting Arlo in the mountains will be almost impossible.
Little does Conrad know Arlo has orchestrated this moment. Now all Arlo has to do is convince Conrad he has the best of intentions. After all, if they don’t click by the end of the flight, Conrad will never know he’d been stalked.

Warning
There is a short description of sexual assault.

Please note that this story was originally released as a short story as part of the Winter Wonderland Prolific Works giveaway. The story has been revised with over 25,000 words of added content.

Amazon – Kindle Unlimited – All Regions

For what it’s worth, I had not previously read the short that this book started as. So I went in with no expectations. Well, I expected to like it a lot more than I did. I like this author. I like her books for the most part. I didn’t NOT like this book, it just left me kind of meh.

Christmas novellas, to me, are about romance at Christmas time. A meet cute, accidental meet, something like that. And the Christmas magic takes over. The story focuses on the two main characters as they find themselves falling in love in a short time. They are sweet and happy and romantic and sexy. There’s Christmas cheer and hot cocoa, often a fresh Christmas tree that doesn’t fit. I need cute and happy for Christmas stories.

And there were parts that were cute and happy. But far FAR too much focused on one main character’s ex boyfriend and the other character’s family. And a lot of obvious filler. Describing things that didn’t need description. But there was just not nearly enough of the 2 main characters together. Alone together. And not alone to have sex. Alone to learn about each other. To flirt and hold hands and stroll around with hot cocoa and have snowball fights that end in laughter.

Sigh. So the book was fine. But definitely not what I wanted or expected. And parts really did seem to be a neon sign that said “added for word count”.

Next Season: MM Small Town/Hockey Romance (The Elmwood Stories Book 2) by Lane Hayes: New Release Review

November 6, 2023 by Denise

The injured hockey player and the grumpy chef…

Riley

My time playing pro hockey will be up soon. I can feel it. And I’ve heard the rumors: he’s too old, he’s had too many injuries, he’s lost his edge. I don’t want to admit it, but they could be right. Next season might be my last.

Or this season. Because of course, this is when the universe decides I need another concussion. It’s a doozy too—the kind that’s going to keep me off skates for a while.

Which is how I end up in a small New England town in the middle of nowhere Vermont, eating every meal at a diner where a grumpy chef from Quebec makes haute cuisine…and burgers. Jean-Claude is funny and charming and—

Okay, I have a crush on a gay man.

This is a new one.

Jean-Claude

Confused straight men are entertaining. But Riley is…fascinating, sexy, and curiously vulnerable. His injury has rocked his confidence a bit, so perhaps he’s in need of a friend. Any friend. Even moi.

I’m an unlikely choice, but maybe he just likes my tuna salad.

No…I think it’s me.

And though I’m happy to help him explore his bisexual curious side, I have career concerns of my own. See, the things I love most about Elmwood seem shaky and uncertain, but not Riley. He’s solid and genuine. Suddenly, this temporary secret liaison feels more real than anything in my life.

I need more than this season. I want it all. With Riley.

Next Season is an MM bisexual-awakening romance featuring a grumpy chef, an injured hockey player, and a big HEA in a small town where anything can happen.

Title: Next Season
Authors: Lane Hayes
Length: 57k
Series: The Elmwood Stories, Book 2
Genre: Contemporary.
Tropes: Bi-awakening, Small Town, Hockey, Grumpy/Sunshine, Holiday

Amazon – Kindle Unlimited – All Regions

We are back in Elmwood, but a few years have passed. I like that. I mean, I am all for suspending reality (I mean, don’t go crazy) but when almost no time has passed before the next couple meet and fall in love it’s just too quick. I like seeing the time progression.

This time it is a current player who is flirting with retirement when he takes a hard hit on the ice leaving him with a pretty severe concussion and a nice head wound. Riley needs to recover, quietly, so his friend and former teammate offers the house his husband owns and was planning on selling to recuperate.

If you read book one, you HAD to be intrigued with Jean-Claude and want more of his story. Well we get it over the course of the book as he and Reilly get to know each other. I liked that Reilly had no inkling of liking men or being bi before this. So it took him by surprise, but he also wasn’t icked out about it. He had moments of “is this too gay?” but they are very quickly brushed aside.

While Reilly slowly recovers and Jean-Claude accepts that this is a short term thing, they really develop a close relationship. I loved that they were supposedly on the down low (hahahahaha, small towns) but had no problem hanging out in public. I hate when it’s a secret and they act like they hate each other in public.

Jean-Claude’s back story is a bit angsty, but not too bad. It definitely helps explain why he is a bit grumpy and gruff. On the outside. Really he is a big teddy bear. Another thing I liked. He wasn’t what many would think of as a “gay, French Canadian chef”. That is to say, he was no twink. In fact, he was slightly bigger than Reilly the pro hockey player.

Overall it was a sweet story and I really liked these guys together. I don’t feel like either one sacrificed anything for their relationship. They just made each other stronger.

There are other gay men in Elmwood and I want their stories next please!

Jersey Royal (Flying into Love #5) by CF White: New Release Review

October 31, 2023 by Denise

.                             .

Can a humble farmer bag himself a true Jersey royal to save his farm…and steal his heart?

Distant royal, Nicholas Osbourne, has one last chance to prove his worth to his wealthy family. A string of bad press over even worse relationships has him agreeing to star in a reality television series getting down and dirty with the ordinary folk. He can live a lie for a week. He’s been doing it for years.

Jersey potato farmer, Alex Hamon, has no time nor patience to babysit a pretentious television crew, nor a work-shy, bratty rich-kid. But the hefty fee and potential promotional opportunities for his farm are too tempting to turn down. He just needs to keep his head in the soil, and not on how his under-the-radar gaydar is blinking overtime for the rogue royal.

Nicholas is out of his depth. Distracted by the stunningly sexy farmer’s son, he’s unable to bury his attraction the way he has been back in London. But he’s on camera. Twenty-four-seven. It’s a disaster waiting to happen. His only saving grace is that the farmer’s son is straight…isn’t he?

Jersey Royal (Flying into Love #5) is an opposites attract, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, rich v poor, first time contemporary MM romance featuring an appearances-is-everything royal with a secret and a temperamental potato farmer with a track record for burying things.

Title: Jersey Royal
Authors: C F White
Length: 312 pages
Series: Flying into Love, Book 5
Genre: Contemporary.

Amazon – Kindle Unlimited – All Regions

This was a sweet, low angst romance, very Harlequin-esque.

The plot was cute, though not all that original. Spoiled royal (although like a bazillionth in line for the throne), playboy, failed fashion designer is basically cut off and his family gets a producer to do a reality show with him. Where he travels around the country doing “regular” jobs. Very “A Simple Life” but with royalty.

Of course Nicholas doesn’t want to do it and their first stop, a potato farm in Jersey, wasn’t expecting him. Well, the owner was but he forgot to tell anyone before he was incapacitated.

There are pratfalls and dirt and a marriage in name only and two guys in the closet and potatoes. Lots of potatoes. Alex, son of the owner and de facto boss, is grouchy and cranky and wants nothing to do with it. But he has no choice as his father signed a contract.

Prim and proper Nicholas is actually a lot more of a good sport in that he mostly goes along with what the producer wants. I have to say I was a little surprised at how snarky she is toward him.

It’s a romance, you can gather what happens with Alex and Nicholas. I do wish Nicholas got a bit more validation. He often thinks to himself that no one likes him and so many things are his fault. When, mostly, they aren’t his fault. And people don’t not like him, I think they were just used to using him for his money. That’s a bit obvious when he doesn’t hear from a single friend while he is doing the reality show.

Everyone gets their happily ever after, as they should. But I still felt badly for how the producer and even his parents treated Nicholas.

A Matcha Made in Hell: An Enemies-to-Lovers MM Bully Romance (Boyfriend Café Book 1) by FA Ray: New Release Review

October 30, 2023 by Denise

Who would have guessed my high school bully could be such a good boy?
Rhett

The worst day of my life was my first day of high school – the day I met him. Spencer Marsh. The guy who would shove me into lockers for the next four years.

I never expected to reunite with him in college. I definitely didn’t predict that sparks would fly. This new and improved Spencer is subverting all my expectations, but I’m not sure if that’s a good thing.

Hooking up with a guy I used to hate is turning into more than just a shameful secret. I should put a stop to it. I should want to put a stop to it. So why don’t I?

Spencer

I’ve been trying since graduation to be different from the guy I was in high school, but seeing Rhett again stirs up old emotions – and an overwhelming desire to atone.

Nevermind that that atonement seems to be happening in some … compromising positions.

My frat brothers and father would never accept what I’m doing, but that doesn’t seem to be enough to stop me. I’m finally the man I want to be, the person I’ve been repressing for most of my life. And it’s all thanks to the guy who used to be the target of my worst impulses.

I only hope Rhett will give me a chance to prove I’m not who I used to be.

A Matcha Made in Hell is an MM enemies-to-lovers romance with first time gay experiences, found family, a bully who just wants to show he’s changed his ways, and spicy open door scenes. Readers should note that some scenes include *spicier* spice. You can find a full list of these acts at linktr.ee/faraywrites

Amazon – Kindle Unlimited – All Regions

This is my first book by this author. And while it was cute, some things were a little problematic and I wanted more of other things.

What I wanted more of- the humiliation kink that Spencer apparently has. Since their first sexual encounter involved that I was hoping for more. A lot more. And there was some, but definitely not enough for my tastes. There were still some vanilla sex scenes in there.

You would never think that Rhett, the gay kid who was literally shoved in lockers in high school would seem to have that humiliation roll right off of his tongue. Which is why it was so hot. Especially directed at his former bully. Give me more!

What I didn’t love was The Boyfriend Cafe. I know, I know. Major plot line that is going to connect more books. But it just kind of seemed like a “rent a gay bff” thing for girls who had boy troubles. It kind of icked me out. And at the beginning they wanted to keep it on the super down low so the college didn’t find out but it is so popular they are booked months in advance. Doesn’t sound very hush hush to me.

Back to Rhett and Spencer. I honestly really liked them together. I loved that after Spencer kind of accepted that yes he wanted to do this with Rhett, he got affection and validation from Rhett. Which he obviously desperately needed. But it also let Rhett share affection with someone else.

Spencer is in the closet for most of the book but (spoiler alert) he does come out to family and friends. I’d like to say more on that but I won’t because bigger spoilers.

This is the first in a series and I liked it enough that I want to read book 2. And book 3 if it is about who I want it to be about. Because that needs to happen.

10 Things That Never Happened (Material World Book 1) by Alexis Hall: New Release Review

October 25, 2023 by Denise

FAKE AMNESIA. REAL FEELINGS? REAL PROBLEMS.

Sam Becker loves—or, okay, likes—his job. Sure, managing a bed and bath retailer isn’t exactly glamorous, but it’s good work and he gets on well with the band of misfits who keep the store running. He could see himself being content here for the long haul. Too bad, then, that the owner is an infuriating git.

Jonathan Forest should never have hired Sam. It was a sentimental decision, and Jonathan didn’t get where he is by following his heart. Determined to set things right, Jonathan orders Sam down to London for a difficult talk…only for a panicking Sam to trip, bump his head, and maybe accidentally imply he doesn’t remember anything?

Faking amnesia seemed like a good idea when Sam was afraid he was getting sacked, but now he has to deal with the reality of Jonathan’s guilt—as well as the unsettling fact that his surly boss might have a softer side to him. There’s an unexpected freedom in getting a second shot at a first impression…but as Sam and Jonathan grow closer, can Sam really bring himself to tell the truth, or will their future be built entirely on one impulsive lie?

Sometimes I think a book will be good because it’s by a bestselling author AND it’s through a traditional publisher. Sometimes I am wrong.

Sometimes I really don’t like the previous book by an author by really like the next book. Sometimes I am wrong.

Sometimes I learn my lessons. Sometimes I don’t.

What I did like about this book- that one of the main characters is a manager at a bed and bath store. Not a boutique, but not a big box store. He is a regular guy doing a regular job. A regular completely non-glamourous job. And I did like the second half quite a bit more than the first. But that first half was tough.

Some of the things the author used to, I assume, be quirky, were eye rolling. Calling products they sell by their full name. He didn’t trip and fall through a shower enclosure. He tripped and fell through the Nexa by MER-LYN 8mm Sliding Door Enclosure. And that entire title is used in every instance of the retelling of him falling through said enclosure. The same is done with a toilet seat and a mattress.

Several employees are written to be quirky as well. Mostly they were annoying.

So fake amnesia. Because that works all of the time. And man who started his own business and is successful would never, ever see right through it. But apparently it does work and the boss doesn’t see right through it.

Honestly it was so silly.

It did get a bit more palatable after they got past the “you’re my employee, this is wrong” thing. Jonathan became a bit more human. But Sam was still kind of an idiot. Jonathan’s family were a bit too “A Big Fat Greek Wedding” for me, but I warmed up a bit to them.

I was only determined to finish the book to find out how the ruse comes to an end. And still, meh.

Maybe you will like it. Lots of people seem to based on the reviews. But this was so not for me.

The Mechanics of Lust: Mackenzie Country #2 by Jay Hogan: Excerpt and New Release Review

October 23, 2023 by Denise

.                                  .

I broke the rules and fell in love with my best friend. Newsflash. He didn’t feel the same. I had to stand by and watch him fall for someone else. Moving on hasn’t been easy since we all live and work on the same high country sheep station, but I’m finally getting there.

I’m building a new life, a new set of dreams, planning a different future, just me and my dogs. The last thing I need is Luke Nichols, the sexy, enigmatic, ex-husband of my nemesis, filling my head with a laundry list of cravings. Talk about complicated.

Luke is only in Mackenzie Country for a few months and I’m not about to put my heart on the line again just for a little fun. But the more I’m around Luke, the harder it is to remember exactly why Luke and I are a bad idea, the worst idea.

Things between us are about to go nuclear.

Maybe I’m wrong.

Maybe we can keep it simple.

Maybe I can satisfy my cravings and hold on to my heart.

And maybe pigs can fly.

Note: This book contains references to the past loss of a child.

“Speech, speech!” A slow clap reverberated off the faded walls of the Oakwood pub’s back bar, which locals had affectionately named The Fleece.

I put my back to the wooden bar and watched a furiously blushing Gil throw Holden a withering, you-are-in-so-much-trouble glare before stepping onto the small stage. He surveyed the crowd from under the Happy Fortieth Birthday banner, which had taken four of us an embarrassing amount of time and a few beers to finally get in place.

I was amazed we’d managed to keep the surprise party a secret, but somehow we’d done it, and Gil had been stunned, tearful, and touchingly overwhelmed when he’d walked into the packed bar to a loud chorus of happy birthday that rattled the rafters.

As I listened to his emotional thank you to everyone who’d turned up to celebrate, including some of his friends who’d flown in from Wellington, it was hard not to be charmed by the man. Not quite a year in the district and Gil’s name was almost as synonymous with Miller Station as Holden’s. This was partly due to their gay-couple status, but also because of the run of free seminars Gil had begun offering locally on grief, stress management, and rural mental health. The result was a bar chocka with birthday well-wishers.

And I was one of them.

Cue the shocked gasps of disbelief.

Keeping my eyes on Gil, I shuffled sideways to let a man in at the bar behind me.

“We must stop meeting like this.” The gravelly voice sent a shiver down my spine, and I turned to find a familiar pair of blue eyes dancing over my face.

Luke Nichols. Dammit.

Luke flashed that wicked smile that always made my dick sit up and pay attention and just, damn my bad luck. The man smelled of Tom Ford, summer, and trouble, and I cursed the familiar tingling sensation his proximity always managed to induce in my body. A fact that only strengthened my resolve to make sure he caught my eye roll. He did. But the amused smirk he returned my way didn’t help matters.

“Well, look who the cat dragged in.” I tried not to lean in for another waft of that expensive cologne. “Guess there’s no show without Punch, right?”

Luke gave an amused snort. “I guess not.” His gaze raked over me, head to foot, before he turned his attention to the small stage where Gil was winding up his speech. “Ah, the birthday boy.”

I followed Luke’s gaze, pretending to listen while shooting covert glances back his way because . . . well, because I was an idiot. And because he looked so fucking edible. Dressed in dark-wash jeans paired with a crisp white shirt—open at the neck and with the cuffs rolled up to reveal the green silicone wristband he always wore—Luke looked annoyingly cool as a cucumber in the late January heat that had the rest of us layering on the deodorant.

Smelling fresh from the shower, Luke brushed a stray lock of dirty blond hair back into place in a way that made me want to shove a hat over my own shaggy, auburn waves. A woven black leather cord hung around his neck and disappeared under his shirt, and a pair of trendy black loafers poked out from the bottom of his jeans. It pained me to admit it, but the man was effortlessly chic.

Enough already. I refocused on Gil who was gesturing to Holden to join him on the small stage.

“Get up here, baby.” Gil drew Holden in for a long, slow kiss that had the birthday crowd whooping and wolf-whistling.

I waited for the once familiar knot of jealousy in my chest, but it never came. Wistful? Sure. Envious of what they had? Absolutely. But jealous still? I thought about it again. No. Maybe I was fooling myself, but I was going to take that for a win.

Luke leaned in close. “Does this feel as weird for you as it does for me?”

I glanced over my shoulder. “I’ve no idea what you mean,” I lied.

His lips twitched in an almost smile that I chose to ignore. “Oh really?” he asked sardonically. “Because here we are, you and me, at a party celebrating my ex-husband’s birthday, thrown by his new love who just happens to be your best friend slash ex. One could be forgiven for saying it’s a bit of a mindfuck, right?”

When I didn’t answer, he elbowed me gently. “Oh, come on. A little conversation won’t kill you.”

I huffed. “Says you.” I was being a dick and we both knew it, but that was par for the course as far as things between us went.

To be fair, Luke had attempted to build a bridge many times since our inauspicious first meeting. He’d arrived uninvited at the station the year before in an attempt to force Gil to talk and I’d been . . . less than welcoming. I might not have liked Gil much at that time, and I still didn’t know the whole story of what had happened between them, but to walk out on your husband six months after your daughter was killed in a car accident? The rest of Miller Station might have found a way to gloss over that fact and forgive him, even Gil. But as far as I was concerned, how much more did you really need to know about a guy?

Not to mention, getting all buddy-buddy with the man would’ve meant having . . . conversations and likely being paired up to work when he helped out on the station. The problem was that any proximity to Luke brought with it a minefield of potential disaster best avoided.

Luke was sexy as shit and his obvious interest in me might fizz in those wicked blue eyes. But he was trouble with a capital T, and I wanted no part of him for too many reasons to list. Although if I did happen to list them, right at the top would be the fact that my body lit up like a Christmas tree every time the man came within spitting distance.

Not since those first times with Holden had I felt anything like that.

Maybe not even then, and that fact just plain pissed me off.

Too bad I was done with complicated men.

D O N E.

Well. I thought book one made me cry. Then I read book 2. Yes, you really should read both to get the full story.

What this book, even moreso than the first because it takes place after the first, shows with such compassion is how grief affects a person. In daily life and long term. And how continuing to live your life is the best thing you can do.

Luke lands himself in Oakwood, the closest town to Miller Station to be a helicopter pilot, at least temporarily. He’s also been untethered since his and Gil’s daughter died and their marriage fell apart.

I love when a broken up/divorced couple are mature enough to realize that sometimes, for a myriad of reasons, they didn’t work out. That doesn’t necessarily mean they have to hate each other. Zach didn’t really get the memo that there were no hard feelings and decided he didn’t like Luke on principle. Mmmkay

Zach was dealing with a lot. His father threw him off of their sheep station, cut him out of the business and will and openly mocks him in public. So he’s a little raw as well.

He does do that typical “I am not a relationship guy, blah blah blah”, but that doesn’t stop he and Luke from getting down and dirty. Often. And they think they are keeping it on the down low. But they are in a remote area of NZ with not a lot of people. Things get noticed. Except the oblivious Holden.

I loved that Zach rally encouraged Luke to open up about Callie and to feel his feels. Of course that just makes Luke fall a bit harder. Zach just needs to let himself feel his feels.

I really love the setting for these books. It’s so unique and interesting to read about. It’s obvious that research went into making life on a sheep station realistic. I loved revisiting it and the people there.

It’s going to ruin me for the rest of my life, for any other person I ever sleep with after this.I’m going to leave most of my heart and part of my soul on this bedroom floor, and I won’t be coming back for it.Leo stares up at me under his long, dark lashes. He’s the same man I’ve always seen: shattered, exhausted, shaped by injury and grief. The man who doesn’t believe he deserves a second happily ever after. But he’s also something else now.Not quite mine, but I’m allowing myself to say he is, only for this moment.Lifting higher onto my knees, my hands creep along his thighs and I begin to tug the robe open. He doesn’t stop me. He watches with fevered eyes, one turned in slightly, but still so fucking focused on the way I’m touching him.I’m terrified something I say or do is going to break this spell and he’s going to banish me from this space, so I take my time drawing the tie on his robe open so I can see all of him.And every inch is fucking gorgeous.#emlindsey #mmromance The Author Agency ... ✨It’s cover reveal day for HUNT ME by @authoremlindsey & @coraroseauthor releasing August 7th!#PreOrderNowbooks2read.com/u/388EGa Why you need to #ONECLICK this book…🔥Strangers to Lovers🔥Stalking as a Love Language🔥Deaf Drag Queen🔥Panty Wearing🔥Autistic character rep🔥Coffins as a special interest🔥Cemetery flower bouquets🔥Only One Bed🔥Forced Proximity🔥MM RomanceDoing Deaf drag isn’t supposed to come with threats to my life, damn it. I’ve had a stalker before, and apparently—even after involving my friend from the FBI—he’s decided to come back and make my life hell. But this time, however, a slightly terrifying stranger shows up to play hero.He knocked my stalker on his ass and left me with blood smears on my jaw and a kiss on my lips so devastating, it threatened to rearrange my whole life. And then he disappeared into the shadows. But just when I think I’ll never see him again, I find him haunting my steps everywhere I turn. It’s not long before I realize hunting me might be his love language, and god help me, I think I’m into it. Especially when each time he catches me, he leaves me breathless and wanting more.My stalker is still around, but being with Archie is worth whatever the unwelcome blast from my past wants to throw at me.After all, having a boyfriend with a thing for knives, coffins, and funeral flowers is a great way to protect myself, and if his obsession and love for me isn’t enough to take my stalker down, my determination to get my happily ever after will.Hunt Me is the first book in the morally grey rom-com series Murder Hearts. It’s a spicy, MM stalker-to-lover romance with forced proximity, coffins as a special interest, an Autistic MC, a Deaf Drag Queen who doesn’t have time for anyone’s BS, stalking as a love language, a set of lovable murder brothers, an unhinged cat café, and a steamy, swoony, happily ever after.✨INFLUENCERS: Sign up here for this amazing release: bit.ly/HUNTMESIGNUPCover Credit:BreathlessLit#coverreveal #corarose #emlindsey #mmromance The Author Agency ... ✨TEASER: THE GEEK AND THE GHOST by Cambria Hebert releasing July 10th!#PreOrderNowa.co/d/07PLBaC9 Why you will love this book…🔥Hero with a villain complex🔥Pocket-sized Geek🔥Over the top possessive🔥MC Rescue Fantasy🔥Banter🔥Chronic illness rep🔥Touch him and die🔥Size difference🔥Dude in distress (suspense)🔥Hurt/Comfort🔥Homeless MC 🔥MM RomanceI’m about thirty seconds from a toe tag and my own freezer at the mortuary when he materializes from the shadows and fights like hell to keep me breathing.I had no idea homeless disasters like me got guardian angels—or that guardian angels punch people and smoke—but suddenly, there he is: a hero dressed all in black who ghosts me so hard I consider calling a medium. But that would be a waste of money I don’t have.I thought I’d never see him again, but just as I’m about to eat a bullet, he appears, using his body to protect mine. I might have swooned—okay, fine, I do but only on the inside—if it weren’t for the fact he thinks bleeding is an adequate apology for implying I’m a prostitute and running off with my heart.Spoiler alert: It’s not.Now the man with a PhD in vanishing, a tattoo that totally offends me, and eyes with their own force of gravity is suddenly stuck to me like glue and being wildly inconvenient about it.And he won’t stop calling me a pipgeek. What even is that?He insists I trust him, but I can’t trust anyone, not even my own body. Unfortunately, when the resident drug lord calls in that favor I foolishly owe, things go from bad to catastrophic with alarming enthusiasm. On the upside, having a villain with a hero complex for a stalker means staying alive will be easy. But not getting hurt again is a whole other story.✨INFLUENCERS: Sign up for this awesome release: bit.ly/TGATGSIGNUP#cambriahebert #mmromance The Author Agency ... Two Chicks Obsessed with Books and Eye Candy
✨TEASER: DRIPPED by @charlienwrites releasing July 9th!#PreOrderNowmybook.to/lickittwoWhy you need to #ONECLICK this book…🍦Boss x Employee🍦Hooking Up For Stress Relief🍦“Just For The Summer”🍦Late Night Kitchen Dates🍦Friends To Lovers🍦Oops We Caught Feelings🍦Supportive & Nosy Friends🍦Pet Names🍦Spicy & Sweet🍦MM romanceFulfilling my childhood wish of opening an ice cream shop is meant to be a dream come true, not a stress-inducing nightmare. And it’s not meant to make my friends concerned for my health either. But I’ll be fine! All we have to do is survive the summer and then I’ll be able to breathe again. My employee Owen has a different idea, though. He’s seen me watching him swim every morning, and he knows I think he’s ridiculously hot, so he proposes a simple solution to my stress: a summer-long, no-strings hook-up arrangement. It’s the perfect plan on paper. Except, the longer summer goes on, the more I’m developing feelings for the sunshine swimmer who loves my dream as much as I do. But I can’t tell him that. Because Owen doesn’t plan to stay. And I can’t ask him to. Even if letting him walk away would be the worst decision I’ve ever made. Meet Darcy and Owen in the second book of the Lick It! series, set around an artisan ice cream parlour on the Yorkshire coast. It features a stressed out shop owner and his very laid back employee who’s determined to help his boss relax, a ‘just for the summer’ hook-up, late night kitchen dates, friends to lovers, oops we caught feelings (but we’re not talking about it), supportive and nosy friends, pet names, delicious ice cream, and plenty of sweetness and spice. ✨INFLUENCERS: Sign up to review this awesome release: bit.ly/drippedsignup#charlienovak #mmromance The Author Agency ...
