Book Blurb

As Sergeant At Arms for Devils
Pride MC, Tyler “Trick” Malone’s take no prisoners reputation make him one of
the most feared and respected members of the club. Unbeknownst to the MC, Trick
indulges his most dangerous secret, traveling out of state twice a year to
trade his cut for the whip he expertly wields at a gay dungeon.
Trick’s well organized life takes
a turn when he saves bar back, and terrified submissive, Chase Ward in a
Georgia dungeon. With his protector and dungeon owner dead, Chase is no longer
safe in the place he once called home. With the new dungeon owners circling
like sharks, he desperately begs for sanctuary in the arms of his savior.
A year later, the MC is still
none the wiser that Trick’s houseboy is anything more than a grateful servant.
Chase knows, if the club finds out their secret, they will kill Trick—the man
he’s come to rely on for everything from the food he eats to the pleasure he
feels to the security he craves. Even when gratitude turns to love, Chase never
expects reciprocation from his ruthless Master. After all, the only way for
them to survive is if Trick remains the heartless bastard the MC knows.
Trick is positive he has it under
control and having Chase around has definitely made his life easier. There doesn’t
seem to be any harm in letting Chase take a part-time job at Velvet Ropes,
especially after meeting privately with the owners. That is until a bomb
explodes at the club, leaving Chase fighting for his life and forcing Trick to
face his long hidden feelings.
Even if Chase survives, that bomb
has done more than rock the foundation of the popular leather club. It’s blown
Trick and Chase’s well-guarded secret out of hiding, putting their lifestyle
and their lives at risk. Now there is only one thing Trick needs to do before
the club gets them and that’s to get revenge on the person who dared to hurt
his precious boy.
Authors Note: Tricking Chase
is a direct spin-off of The Protector, which is book 3 in my Sizzling Miami
series. Though I tried to provide enough details that it isn’t necessary to
have read that book, I cannot really call this a standalone. Tricking Chase
contains an established D/s relationship, hot guys on motorcycles, an
undercover DEA agent named Snake and a few visits from fan favorite Sizzling
Miami characters.

Excerpt

The fact that Ty found Chase’s
worry endearing was a glaring reminder that he was still thinking with his dick
a year later. It was irrelevant that he warned Chase how dangerous staying with
him would be. The boy had nowhere else to go and was riding high on hero
worship and multiple orgasms. Not doing more to push Chase away was the only
regret he had in life. Regretting it didn’t change anything he’d done after. In
the end, nothing else mattered except seeing his collar around that slender
neck and losing himself in Chase’s willing submission.
“Five minutes,” Ty agreed. Chase
didn’t need further clarification. His boy scrambled up and Ty barely had time
to brace before Chase was wrapped around him. Embracing didn’t come naturally
to him, but then boldly asking for such an embrace didn’t come naturally to
Chase. The boy found it comforting and maybe he enjoyed it, but he didn’t have
to say so aloud. And maybe he didn’t look at the clock either, but then Chase’s
OCD wouldn’t let him go too far over the requested time. And just maybe he
would take the opportunity to nuzzle the collar he painstakingly crafted.
Though he was used to welding bike frames, once they had reached their
agreement, Ty knew exactly what kind of collar Chase would wear. One made from
his own hands, with pieces of him carefully woven through. Every time he saw it
resting around Chase’s neck there was such a sense of rightness that it overrode
all common sense.

Author Bio

“Wearer of Many Hats”
is a title that was given to Jessie by a former employer some twenty years ago.
This dubious distinction, along with the job description “everything is
her fault”, came after she fixed an electrical problem during her
interview that the office had been having for years. After that, if anything
went wrong, her coworkers immediately declared it her fault so she’d have to
fix it. This position of importance inspired the owner to convert a closet into
an office, thereby providing her coworkers endless opportunities to refer to
her as “the girl in the closet.”
Today she is still the “Wearer of
Many Hats” and her family has readily jumped on the “everything is her fault”
bandwagon. Most mornings start at 5am, where she stumbles into her home office
(which is step or two up from a closet) to tackle her personal email, watch gay
porn and satisfy her Trivia Crack addiction. By six, she’s caffeinated and
ready to take on the world. Wearing her favorite red power nightgown, she expertly
designs websites, provides SEO and social media services, freelances as a
bookkeeper, cooks, cleans and writes.
Writing has been the elusive,
life-long goal that seemed to be getting further away as the years went by. It
took 30+ years to achieve, but she’s decided that timing is everything. The
world wasn’t ready for m/m romance back then, and now that it is, the girl in
the closet has finally found her writing home.
Jessie is a firm believer in
marriage equality, love at first sight, power dynamics and happily ever after.
She’s a lover of strong secondary characters and series filled with families,
biological or chosen. All are themes you’ll find throughout her books.

Release Day Review and Giveaway: A Way Home by Keira Andrews

April 8, 2015 by Denise

Blurb:

Will returning to their Amish roots renew their faith in each other?

Isaac and David never thought they’d go back to the Amish world. But when Isaac’s younger brother is stricken with cancer, they don’t hesitate to return. Their relationship is on the rocks after insecurity and fear drove a wedge between them in San Francisco, and David is determined to make things right. Yet if they thought navigating “English” life was confusing, being back in Zebulon is even more complicated.

Their families are desperate to bring them back into the fold, and pressure from the community builds. Isaac and David yearn for a future together, but each day it becomes harder to hide the truth about who they really are. They’re caught between two worlds, and if they’re not careful it could tear them further apart.

Can Isaac and David make their way back to each other—and find a place to call home?

This gay romance is the final chapter in a trilogy of forbidden love.

Denise’s Review:

This trilogy concludes with a story that I just adored. I didn’t realize how much I craved a happy ending for David and Isaac as much as I did, until I finished A Way Home. These young men struggled hard for their HEA and getting to read all about it, was such a blessing.

After the angst of book 2, I found that I had some unresolved feelings about David going into book 3. I was still a little upset at David, and how he handled himself in the second book. Despite knowing and understanding how and why he was struggling, I still was a bit upset at him. But what I loved about book 3 was that it wasn’t about David and Isaac continuing to struggle to communicate with each other. They were able to connect back with each other early in the book, and were so supportive of one another going forward. You knew there was no way that anyway would stand in their way of being together.

Their connection to their families was still there, with them struggling to help Isaac and Aaron’s younger brother Nathan survive, and finding a way to at least keep some sort of communication with a family that would never understand their true relationship. This was at the crux of this book. Their struggle at coming home and being strong within their own relationship, yet still wanting some sort of relationship with their family, and Keira delivered on all counts with this book.

The ending was so satisfying, and honestly one of the sweetest you will ever read, which is so appropriate for these two very sweet young men. Keira tied up any loose ends, but more than that, gave them a path that they could continue down as a couple, and still keep their ties to their family. All of that allows the reader to finish that book with a final “awww, that was exactly what I needed”. (And still there was plenty of HOT sex with these boys, just as Keira likes to throw in 🙂

As I finish off this series, knowing that I would love to read it again, I hope that you will pick up the last book in this series. And if you haven’t picked up books 1 and 2, well, you are going to want to start there. 🙂

4.5 pieces of eye candy for A Way Home. Remember, its about the journey, not necessarily the destination, and this journey takes you through a true love. 🙂

**Two Chicks Obsessed will give away two copies of A Way Home to commenters on the blog post.

Becoming His Master (R) Excerpt © M.Q. Barber 2015
Henry’s watch
showed quarter to eight as he mounted the stairs toting carryout meals for
himself and his submissive. The hour found the second floor a modest hive of
activity as players donned their preferred personas and headed upstairs to the
sandbox. Eventually, he too would join the procession, with Jay in tow. For
now, he turned right and stepped through the wide double doors into the salon.
The area set aside
for himself and young Mr. Kress showed Emma’s unmistakable influence. Tucked
into the farthest corner of the room, a three-panel screen of wood and fabric
created a private dining nook. Best pray the younger man didn’t recognize the
scenes depicted, though the intent shouted for all and sundry to pay heed.
A pair of
yellow-ribboned women cast admiring glances his way. Muting his growl, he
stepped past them with a curt headshake. Won’t
interfere, my ass.
A paean to Greek
mythology and literature graced each panel. Achilles and Patroclus circled each
other with shields and spears, their sandaled feet the only flesh not on view.
Apollo strummed his lyre while a boy—Hyacinth, given the field of flowers—lay at
his feet. Beautiful Ganymede proffered a cup beneath the sheltering wings of
Zeus-as-eagle.
Stalking across
the room, he considered the ready excuses sure to be on Emma’s lips. A shield
to keep the boy from prying eyes, lest his table manners prove less than
impeccable. Hadn’t he himself insisted on protecting Jay from possible
criticism? No, of course the scenes hadn’t been deliberate. Convenience had
dictated the choice. In no way had she meant to imply Jay Kress was his eromenos.
His beloved boy.
His to mentor and protect. His sweet lips to kiss, his beautiful thighs to
fuck.
Cock pressing at
his fly, he swore in silence. Was there no mercy to be found?
He rounded the
screen.
Jay sprang to his
feet.
No. No mercy at
all.
Despite Emma’s
claim, his student wore a suit as well as he wore leather shorts. Temptation
beat at him, an unrelenting pressure, the image of his submissive on his knees
with the same earnest delight on his face.
He forced himself
to turn and deposit the bag on the table. Slow and easy.
“You’ve set a
lovely table.” He told himself navy wasn’t Jay’s color, despite the good sense
he’d shown to pair his suit with a solid white shirt and a pale blue tie with a
diagonal thin-stripe in white. “I trust your wait has been a pleasant one?”
“Yes, Master
Henry.” Jay stood straight and tall, a slender vision of grace. “Mistress Emma
showed me what to do.”
“It’s just Emma,
my boy. No title. She’s a submissive here, as you are.” He unpacked the tote.
Salads first, the light containers atop the others.
“But she’s in
charge of things.” Jay tilted his head. He started to roll his shoulders before
stopping himself.
Warm foil
container deposited on the table, Henry paused in his work to study his
submissive with more care. “Yes, she handles some functions at the club.” The
neat half-Windsor had to be Emma’s doing. “She also submits to her husband.”
Likewise, the white rose boutonniere pinned with Jay’s red ribbon, the symbol
of his ownership. The younger man’s purity and innocence bound under his protection
and control.
Pinned. Of course.
“Tell me, how many
pins did it take until Emma was satisfied with the drape of your jacket?”
“I’m not sure,
Master Henry.” Jay half-smiled, his eyes shining. “She made me stand still for
a long time, though. Do you like it?”
With such an
enticing invitation, he smoothed the fabric from the lapel to the right
shoulder.
Jay caught his
breath and rocked his hips.
“Quite handsome,”
he murmured. Such promising responses his pupil gave, eager physicality
impossible to miss. “But you cannot relax, can you? Afraid you’ll disrupt her
handiwork if you so much as breathe too deeply.”
“I don’t mind,
Master Henry.” If you like it, he
didn’t say, though the worship in his gaze made the words unnecessary.
Humming, he traced
the edge of the lapel downward and unfastened the button holding the jacket
closed. “I mind.” Hanging the jacket on the chair back wouldn’t do any harm.
“Your comfort is my responsibility during our time together.”
He pushed the coat
from the boy’s shoulders. He’d remove his own to ensure his dinner partner felt
no awkwardness.
“No, no, please.”
Jay clutched at the fabric, fighting the motion, his voice rising. “Master
Henry, please.”
What the devil was
he—
“Please don’t take
my ribbon, I’m your good boy, I’m yours—”
Henry kissed him.
He knew the
instant their lips touched he ought not have done it.
Soft and pliant,
the younger man opened his mouth with a throaty little whimper.

Irresistible. A
possessive haze descended, snarling heat pushing out from his center. He ground
his cock against his submissive and claimed his mouth.

Blog Post and Review: Falling (Fall or Break Book 1) by Barbara Elsborg

March 20, 2015 by Denise

Synopsis:

Harper is no longer behind bars, but it doesn’t feel like
it. Ten years serving time for a crime he didn’t commit have left him shut
down, numb, and a frozen wreck over the simplest of choices.
He’s acutely aware of the dark-haired young man checking him
out in the supermarket, but he’s too deep in panic mode to even meet the guy’s
gaze. Afraid the slightest move will trigger a fall that will never stop.
Fresh off a long-term relationship with a controlling man,
Malachi is stuck living with relatives who think he’s a waste of oxygen. The
tall guy in the long, gray coat is the first bright spot he’s glimpsed in a
long time…though the man’s unblinking stare at a bottle of shower gel is a
touch alarming.
Hard experience tells both of them to turn away before lust
turns to hopeless attraction, and inevitably to disaster. But once their sparks
connect, the arc of electricity is too strong to deny. Even if the cost is too
much to bear.
 Author Blog Post:

When I come to think about where to set my stories, I
usually go for somewhere I know quite well. In contrast to the very first
novels I wrote that I set in New York (I’d never even been to America) and
Bogota (I’d never been there either) There was no Internet in those days to
research what places were like.
Nowadays it’s possible to find details of just
about anywhere on Earth. But Falling is the first book I’ve actually set in the
town where I live. Guiseley in West Yorkshire. I had to invent the street for
the house my heroes live in but the swimming pool is there, the retail park is
there and so is the supermarket where the pair first meet.
Did it make it any easier using a place I knew well? No, not
really because I had to make sure I had all the details right. You can’t get
caught out if you make a place up but if I’d said there was a TK Maxx in the
retail park and there wasn’t, you can bet I’d have had people telling me I was
wrong.
Though setting the book in Guiseley did have one impact on
an early reader because she lives just down the road from me and found it a bit
freaky to read a book set in the town where she lives. I’ve tended ot stick to
Yorkshire, Derbyshire or London for my settings. Places I do know well. But the
book I’m working on now is set in Dorset. I know nothing about Dorset. Thank
goodness for Google!
Denise’s Review:
Do you know what I like most about reading romance novels? That I KNOW for sure, I will be getting an HEA, or at the very least a HFN. That knowledge served me well while reading this book!!!

There were times where I questioned it…where I wondered, would these men be able to find a happy ending. Thank goodness, Ms. Elsborg did not disappoint me.

Harper, a man just leaving prison after 10 years for a crime that he was framed for, has to learn how to get by in a world that is different than when he went in, and doesn’t want him back in it. It was truly tragic to see the way he was treated.

Meanwhile Malachi, who himself was being treated by his brother in law like a piece of trash, had just left a controlling relationship, finally trying to stand on his own two feet, despite being unable to find a new job.

These two had so much to work through on their own: hatred, bigotry, violence. Then they had to find a way to work through things together, in order to be with each other on solid and common ground.

My heart broke for Harper each time he was met with hatred and anger for something that he didn’t do. My heart broke for Malachi who was subjected again and again to such cruelty at the hands of his family, both past and present.

In the end, Malachi, who know matter what he faced, always was thinking of others, always had a smile on his face, and a pleasant word, would go to the depths of his pain in order to save Harper from a life of continued pain. Malachi showed his love by putting Harper’s life ahead of his own.

This story was tragic, and yet, so full of love, it was hard not to root for these two lovely men right from the beginning. It was a book I found myself checking often to see how close to the end it was, not because I wanted it to be over, but because I wanted to get to the HFN part. It did eventually come, and I was so happy for them, in a way I haven’t been for a long time in a book. That much tragedy deserves a truly happy ending.

My final determination for this book is 4.5 pieces of eye candy. And if there is another book ahead in this series, I will be at the head of the line to read it. Fantastic job, Ms. Elsborg.

The first author in this feature is Ashley John. And if you haven’t met Ashley John, well, you are in for a treat. He puts it all out there for everyone, as you can see from his answers below.

Ashley is best known for his Surf Bay series. He also has the George and Harvey series which he will be re-releasing very soon. Purchase links for all his current books are below.

Everyone wave hello to Ashley!!!!

1. Two Chicks Obsessed:
Okay, we will start this off with a bang. I don’t know you, I have
never read your books, and have never been to your fictional town. I stumble
into Surf Bay, what is the first thing that I notice (people, place, thing,
whatever!)?

Ashley John: The first thing you’ll notice about Surf Bay is the people. There are so many
big characters, and if you work your way through the books from the start,
you’ll start to feel like you’re living in the town with them! You’ll probably
bump into Old Lady Evelyn, and she’ll probably give you some cake and lemonade
(because she’s nice like that), and you’ll probably notice the crazy amount of
hot, gay people wandering around the place. One of the characters once joked
that it should be called Surf Gay, because 80% of the characters we have seen
have been gay, and I think she was right (maybe there’s something in the
water?). It’s one of those places where the sun is always shining, and on the
surface, it would seem like the most perfect place to live, but it’s a place
with secrets hiding in the shadows. Some of the people there have been through
a lot, so I like to think their sad stories contrast with the sunny setting.

2. TCO: The List…everyone has one-or they should: Who is on
yours? Can we ask who is on Reece’s? The List!

AJ: Can I just put Zac Effron to the top of that list? I’ve been in a mental
relationship with him since 2006 (sorry Reece!). I think Channing Tatum and
Chris Hemsworth would be on there too, for obvious reasons (c’mon, who would
say no?). Can I tag Colby Keller on there as well? He’s my idea of perfection,
because he’s not typically good looking, but damn, he is hot! Reece doesn’t
have a list because I’m clearly perfect, so why would he want anything more
(sarcastic wink)?

3. TCO: You call me to bail you out of jail. You tell me to
bring you three things. What are they, and why?

AJ: First of all, you’d find me rocking in the corner of my cell, crying and
shaking. I’ve never been in trouble with the law, and I don’t think I’d be able
to handle it. Obviously, I’m a good boy, so that will never happen. I think
I’ll be crying for food first, because I’m always hungry, so you can bring me
some food. Maybe a Big Mac meal (large please) with sweet and sour dipping
sauce? You can bring me some lip balm as well, preferably something containing Shea
butter, because my lips get really chapped, and it drives me insane (the gayest
answer ever?). I’d probably want a hat, or some dry shampoo, so I can hide my
dirty hair. Sometimes I hate having longish hair, so I tend to wear a lot of
hats, because I’m lazy.

4. TCO: Today is your birthday, what would be your “ultimate”
birthday present/plans?

AJ: A birthday party with Madonna, Gaga, Beyoncé and Britney? If they aren’t
available, I have no idea. I’m famously difficult to buy presents for, because
I never seem to want anything. Every time I’m asked what I want, I just shrug,
because there isn’t usually anything I want, which I haven’t already bought for
myself. I think I’m at that age now, where if I really want something, I’ll
just buy it, instead of waiting for somebody to gift it to me. When it comes to
presents, I prefer to give them, because I’m usually really good at buying
things for people. I always tend to buy ‘practical presents’, because I like to
buy things which people will use a lot, rather than something they’ll look at
once, and then put in a drawer somewhere. I usually go crazy at Christmas,
spending a crazy amount of money on people. If you can’t get hold of those
women for a fabulous party, you can book me an all inclusive 2 week vacation in
a 5 star resort somewhere. My idea of heaven, is lying on a beach with a
cocktail in my hand, doing nothing. If I could sleep all day and night, and do
nothing, I probably would, so why not do it under the sun?

5. TCO: Lube versus spit. Go!

AJ: Anybody who wants to tell me that gay men don’t use spit as lube can suck my
big toe. Say you’re on a night out, and you meet a guy, and decide to have sex
in a back alley, you’re not going to pull lube out of your pocket and start
fiddling with that, are you? You’re going to spit in your hand, and make do.
Trust me, it works. I’m not going to lie, lube is OBVIOUSLY better, but it’s
not always there, and if you’re horny, you gotta do what you gotta do. You
don’t want to start using things you find in your bedroom or bathroom, because
the chances are, that’s going to burn your insides. Somebody once complained
that my characters always used spit, instead of lube, and that it wasn’t
realistic, but if you actually go back and look at where and when my characters
have had sex, it’s usually not been planned, or it’s been in places where there
isn’t lube (although Charlie and Oliver used lube in Lost & Found, because
they were in Oliver’s bedroom, and he had a lot of sex, so…). I always look at
the situation, and the characters, and how they would have sex. Last time I
checked, there’s no rulebook, and I’m pretty sure gay cave men didn’t have a
shop to buy lube. If I had to, I’d choose lube for obvious reasons, but spit
works fine.

What fantastic answers!!! Thank you so much to Ashley John for being our guinea pig on this new feature.

Whit by Cora RoseNew release and review!Whit by Cora Rose was my first book by her and I believe her first book. And I was really impressed. It's not easy to find a first book that I don't nit pick. But I really enjoyed it and she has been quite the prolific writer since.Caleb is the same story told from Whit's point of view. (Whit was Caleb's point of view)This is a good young adult (21ish) romance, opposites attract, gay for you, rich boy/poor boy...all the tropes. It was fun to read the story from Whit's POV. How he was really feeling about Caleb, about meeting family, about dealing with his own family, etc. And to hear how dirty his mind really was since he's so buttoned up (figuratively) to the world.I loved seeing Caleb's family just immediately accept him as part of the family. Jokes, hugs and all.If you enjoyed Whit, you'll enjoy Caleb. Same story, different perspectives.Do I need all of her books to have this companion piece? Nah. But I'm glad I revisited these guys.4 Pieces of Eye Candy ... See MoreSee Less

Two Chicks Obsessed with Books and Eye Candy
✨EXCERPT: CALEB by @coraroseauthor releasing April 24th! #PreOrderNowbooks2read.com/u/4En91A I shake my head, even though it is. I feel like my heart is being ripped from my body. The choice I have to make. Is it even a choice? “I…I overreacted. I’m…I’ll be fine,” I tell him, clutching at his hand and turning it to kiss that rough palm. Because I have to be fine with whatever I choose. And I don’t know if I can choose a future with him. Not after everything I’ve been through. My parents owe me for what they put me through. I’ve earned it with my blood and tears. Can I give it all up? For him? Caleb’s thumbs rub over my cheeks. “Okay.” He doesn’t sound convinced. Not that I expect him to. I’m a liar in the worst way. Selfish, thoughtless. He will never forgive me once this is over. My eyes water, and Caleb’s face crumples as he pulls me into his chest and holds me. I should never have let him be my roommate. I should have let him go about his life, never knowing me. It would have been simpler, better. But I was too greedy. Wanted him too much. And now look what I’ve done. I’m set to ruin him. I need to pull away before I do more damage. I need to end this. Soon, I tell myself. Just one more day. Let me have one more day.#mmromance #corarose The Author Agency ... See MoreSee Less

So, of course I tripped over my tongue instead of asking for his number. And despite my friends’ numerous offers to help find him online, we’re too busy opening Lick It!, our new ice cream shop, to spare time for my non-existent love life. But when Jonathan walks through the door on a sunny Friday afternoon, I can’t help but feel like it’s fate. He’s shy, sweet, and we immediately click. Jonathan doesn’t have much experience with relationships, so I’m determined to give him the attention he deserves, even if it means I’m pulled in two directions. With summer heating up and the shop getting hectic, spending time together is getting harder and harder. I don’t know how to balance the long hours and being a good boyfriend, but I know I have to figure it out. Because meeting Jonathan is the best thing that’s ever happened to me. ✨INFLUENCERS: Sign up to review this awesome release: bit.ly/lickedsignup#charlienovak #mmromance #kindleunlimited The Author Agency ...
