I’m here to talk about music again, the playlist is so long, I thought it deserved two days. Anywho… the coffee is gone and we ran out of juice for the mimosas, so by the time you are done reading this I will have polished off a bottle of bubbly!

Every song on the playlist relates to the story in one way or another. Whether it be a chapter, a scene or just a quick nod. The first song I chose for Fame and Fortune, before I even started writing, was Everything has Changed by Taylor Swift w/Ed Sheeran. The words of the song just screamed Victor, Andrew and Mattie to me. “I just want to know you better now.” “Everything has changed.” This song sort of encapsulates their relationship as a whole.

The Fray – You Found Me. “Lost and Insecure, you found me you found me, lying on the floor, you found me you found me. Mattie was very much lost and insecure when he first met Victor and Andrew. It was their trust and faith in him that made him thrive and grow and become the man he became. Lying on the floor would probably be the line that drew me to this song, you’ll understand that once you read the book. It’s heartbreaking but beautiful.

Enya – Only Time. “Who can say if your love grows as your heart chose, only time.” These three hearts chose each other, who can say why, and does it really matter? Their love grows stronger because they choose to be together and to hell with anyone that doesn’t understand it.

You should read Fame and Fortune then go listen to the playlist and see if you can place all the songs where they play into the story, it can be a fun game!
