Two Chicks Obsessed with Books & Eye Candy

Sharing our love of M/M Romance

Book Review

Meet Me in the Blue by A.M. Johnson: RB, Excerpt, New Release Review and Giveaway

March 6, 2023 by Denise

.                                     .

Meet me… in the place where the sun kisses the horizon and sinks into blue shades of you and me.

Meet me there… where everything was always perfect. You and me and the damp grass at dawn and the gray dirt in the late evening rain.

Meet me where we were ourselves and not these two people who can’t even say I love you.

Meet me there and maybe we’ll remember…

We’ll remember the us we were before them, before miles, before lost hours, and you’ll ask what color the sky is, and I’ll say blue like your eyes.

And you’ll smile, and I’ll forget I ever missed you.

****

Luka and Rook have been best friends since they were nine years old.

Five years ago, Luka threw it all away.

When his dad’s health takes a turn for the worst, Luka must come home to say his goodbyes and mend the bridges he burned all those years ago. But coming home is harder than he imagined, and after reuniting with his family, there’s only one person he needs.

Rook…

His best friend.

The one man he pushed away, the one man, no matter how hard he tried to forget, he can’t stop himself from loving.

Even if loving him means breaking his heart all over again.

Meet Me in the Blue is a stand-alone, best friends to lovers, second chance, demi-awakening, MM romance, with a whole lot of small-town heart, meddling moms, gossiping townies, self-discovery, a friendship forged of forts, Dungeons and Dragons, and a love that will stand the test of time.

“Hey, Stace.” Avoiding her expectant smile, I kept my head down as I grabbed a pint of Rocky Road from the freezer.

I preferred Moose Tracks, but Rett refused to carry it. If he didn’t love my father so much, I’d think it was personal.

“I tried to get him to order it, but you know him…” Stacey cringed and narrowed her brown eyes. “He’s a stubborn asshole. Rett said…” She lowered her voice to something akin to the man himself and my lips twitched at her attempt to mimic the old bastard. “Rocky Road is a staple.”

“I suppose he’s right. Can’t argue with traditions.”

“Isn’t the customer always right?” she asked, and I set the pint on the counter.

Chuckling, I shook my head. “I don’t think Rett gives a shit.”

Stacey bit the corner of her pink-stained lip and looked over my shoulder, grinning like she had some sort of secret. Picking up the ice cream, she shoved it into a brown paper bag. “Well, I give a shit.” Her flirty smile and bold eye contact made me wish I’d skipped coming to the pharmacy in the first place. I stared at the bag on the counter instead, feeling my pulse in my fingertips as the seconds ticked by uncomfortable and loud between us. “It’s on the house,” she said, her confidence fading. “My treat.”

“Stace, I—”

“Stop being so nice all the time, Rook. Let a girl buy you a pint of ice cream.” I could hear the smile in her voice but kept my eyes down. “I insist.”

“Thanks,” I said, conceding even though I knew better.

I glanced up and found her big eyes, hopeful, staring back at me. My face heated as her triumphant grin stretched across her face.

“Anytime…” She fiddled with the small stack of flyers next to the register.

My chest ached a little, wishing I could summon some sort of attraction for her. She was sweet and conventionally attractive with a lean, athletic build. She used to be a cheerleader way back when in high school, and I remembered all the guys on my hockey team would talk about her, mostly crude locker room shit. But Stacey was just Stacey to me. Rett’s niece. Rett, who’d owned this damn pharmacy longer than I’d been alive. She could hit on me every time I walked through those front doors, which she did without regard for her own feelings, and it wouldn’t change the fact I wasn’t into her. Or anyone, really. This town was too small and too nosy, at least that’s what I’d tell myself when I got home and made dinner for one and ate this ice cream like a sad cat lady. I wasn’t sad though, and it was hard for people to understand. Especially my family. “You’re thirty-two, son. The older you get the slimmer the pickings.” And “I worry about you, worry you’re lonely in that big house of yours?” And “Stacey… she’s a sweet one.” And my personal favorite. “Son, your mother and I… we want you to know you can tell us anything. We want you to know we love you unconditionally, straight… or gay, we love you and want you to do whatever makes you happy.”

I wished it was as easy as gay or straight. What if being alone was my happily ever after? Would that be so bad?

“I heard Luka’s coming back to town,” she said, and my heart skipped at the mention of his name, pulling me from my thoughts.

“Yeah?” I swallowed past the twinge in my throat. “I saw Nora at the clinic last week, said he was coming home soon.”

“Too bad about their dad. He was a good man.”

“Is…” I corrected. “He is a good man.”

He was still alive, still breathing.

She bit the side of her cheek, her face pale. “I didn’t mean… I shouldn’t have said—”

“It’s okay, Stace.” I tried to conjure a smile on her behalf but failed. “Dr. Abrams’s prognosis isn’t a secret.”

I’d known Isaac Abrams for most of my life. He’d joined my dad’s practice when I was nine years old and was like a second father to me. I’d grown up with his family, his daughter Nora like a sister, and his son Luka used to be my best friend.

Used to be.

Luka’s smile beamed bright behind my eyes, his laugh a distant echo in my ears. It had been five years since I’d seen Luka Abrams. Five years of feeling lost without a compass.

“Is it true?” she asked.

“I’m sorry, what were you saying?”

“Dr. Abrams… he’s on hospice now?”

“Yes.” I didn’t elaborate. A man’s life, or end of life, should be his own. Not a juicy piece of small-town gossip.

“Fuck cancer,” she said, the frown on her face genuine.

Fuck cancer.

“I should get going.” I held up my bag with the ice cream inside before turning to leave. “Thanks, Stace.”

“When you see Luka, tell him to stop by. It’s been ages since he’s graced us with his presence, and I’ll never forgive him if he doesn’t at least come say hello.”

I waved over my shoulder as the damp, frigid February air bit at my cheeks. The wind blew through the open front door and chilled me to the bone. Focusing on zipping up my jacket, I tried not to think about Luka and failed. After I’d spoken to Nora the other day, his name had been on a constant loop in my head, but I thought I had a handle on it. Stace mentioning him again made the realization that he might already be at home, sitting on the couch in the living room, where we used to play Dungeons & Dragons, a reality I wasn’t sure I was ready to face. After his dad was diagnosed with liver cancer a few years ago, I’d hoped he’d move back then. He didn’t. But it wasn’t like he hadn’t made an effort to keep in touch over the years, keeping tabs on his dad’s treatment. But friendship was a funny thing, and like the miles between us, he grew more distant with every missed text, or phone call. Luka used to text or call every day when he and his boyfriend from college had broken up. They’d lived together in Portland, but after they split, instead of coming home to Hemlock Harbor, Luka moved to Los Angeles. His phone calls had always been the highlight of my day, even if he was only calling to vent about the traffic. But eventually, the daily calls turned to monthly updates, and now I was lucky if I got a Happy Birthday or a Merry Christmas. I’d tried to reach out when we all found out about his dad, but it had been clear I was the only one holding on, and after a while, the grip I had on the past hurt more than it was worth. I’d had to let go.

I didn’t want to be angry at him for shutting me out, for finding himself, finding the life he wanted far away from here, far from the small-town life he never wanted. But we’d spent almost every day together, every weekend for the better part of my adolescence, and even though we’d gone to separate colleges, we’d maintained our friendship the best we could. I’d gone to the University of Washington in Seattle for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees, which was barely over fifty miles away, and felt homesick every damn day. After graduation he’d chosen to stay in Oregon, and I’d chosen to come home and work as a certified nurse-midwife for our fathers’ clinic. I couldn’t ever imagine leaving Hemlock Harbor. This place was my home. It was as permanent as the bones under my skin. Our families were intertwined, it was hard to remember a time when I didn’t know Luka.

I didn’t know him now.

I’d thought we’d be close forever. I’d thought Luka would always be my other half. He knew me better than anyone. I’d spent more hours of my life with Luka than I could count. But something changed, and as much as I wanted to blame his move to Los Angeles, or his dad’s cancer, I wondered if it was something I did, or didn’t do. I was never as bright as Luka, as audacious. When he walked into a room everyone noticed. The thought of seeing him again, after all these years, had my stomach in knots. I wanted everything to be the same while wanting to hold on to my anger too. But Dr. Abrams was dying, and I didn’t think it mattered how I felt about being left behind in Luka’s wake.

Once I was in my car, I cranked up the heater and turned onto the main road. The sun had started to set, the overcast sky nothing new, but today the clouds, and their gray fingers, dove into the pines, made everything seem heavier. I glanced at the clock on the car stereo and found myself turning right on Mill Creek Road instead of left toward my house. It took ten minutes, and I was afraid I’d miss it as I parked my car in front of my childhood home. I stepped out onto the wet street, the rain, more of an icy mist, clung to the fabric of my jacket. The lights were off inside my parents’ house, but the Abrams’s front window was lit with a warm yellow glow. I bypassed their front door and headed down the familiar path between the two houses, walking faster with each passing second, until I was under the shade of the trees. The ice cream on my front seat forgotten and probably starting to melt. Each breath, each beat of my heart, it was like I could feel him there waiting, and as I broke through to the small clearing, I saw him.

A man I didn’t recognize stood with his back to me, his eyes on the sky. The tattoos peeking out from under his damp cotton t-shirt were new, his bleach-blond hair was new too. My heart drummed inside my chest, but I was surprised to find it wasn’t in anger, but relief. So much relief.

“Meet me in the blue,” I said. “I’ll always be here.”

AM Johnson can weave a story that keeps you reading. She beautifully sets up the lifelong friendship between Rook and Luke, from age 9 until 5 years ago when Luke ghosted Rook to save his heart.

But Luke is back home to lick his wounds and spend time with his dying father. Because the families of Luke and Rook are so intertwined, there’s really no way of avoiding each other so Luke goes back to their favorite spot in the woods. Which is exactly where Rook found him, without being told he was there.

What follows is Luke and Rook becoming friends again, picking scabs that were almost healed and telling truths that needed to come out. The awkwardness and stilted conversations they had were very realistic. They WANTED to be best friends again, but they needed to learn how all over again.

Add in that Luke is gay and out and has been in love with Rook as long as he could remember. And even though Rook has never told anyone if he was gay or straight, he was assumed but everyone to be straight. And while he doesn’t think he is gay, he definitely isn’t straight. And confused.

Once Rook figures out that Luke is the one he wants, all of the walls start coming down and they figure out what they are to each other. Because it is certainly more than bff.

There’s a nice set up to what I am hoping is book 2 in the series with some side characters. That is always fun.

You will need some tissues because, like I said, Luke’s father is dying. So, ya. Be warned.

AM Johnson never disappoints.

Illegal Motion (The Package Deal, Book 4) by Rheland Richmond & Emerson Beckett: Blog Tour, Exclusive Excerpt, New Release Review and Giveaway

Callum Kennedy

I should have known behind that deep sexy southern drawl, and beautiful face lived the world’s biggest asshole.

I’ve tried my damnedest to put him behind me. But it was hard to do when I saw his face every night in my dreams and couldn’t forget how he worked my body over.

It was okay. I had my work as a vet, my equine rescue to manage, and my friends. I’d forget him or work myself to death trying.

Except there’s one problem.

Turns out he’s the new free-agent running back who just signed a one-year deal with the Portland Pirates. The infamous Declan Miller has turned my world upside down and reinserted his unforgettable self back into my life for the next year.

Declan’s the last person I want help from, but it looks like I don’t have a choice.

Declan Miller

When I walked into Alejandro’s Bar that night in late July, I never expected to meet someone my first night in town.

But the sexy guy with wavy dark blond hair and hazel-green eyes sitting alone at the bar caught my attention immediately. Or maybe it was the way he was sniffing his own shirt.

After a night of the best sex of my life, I knew I had to push him away. I wasn’t doing relationships anymore, and this gorgeous, funny man had the power to break me.

But when I find out my unforgettable hookup is part of my new friend group, Dr. Callum Kennedy wants nothing to do with me until he has no choice but to let me help.

Illegal Motion is an MM sports romance and the fourth book in The Package Deal Series about the hot single dads of the Portland Pirates football team.

Tropes: enemies to lovers, close proximity, found family, one-night stand to forever, sports romance.

I was gonna be sick. Declan was here and with some girl at the bar. Jesse was talking to me, and I hadn’t heard a word. My eyes wouldn’t leave Declan, and the pain that shot through me had nothing to do with my arm. It was my heart. And now it felt like someone had taken a sledgehammer and busted it into tiny pieces.

Evidently, he’d moved on from me and what we’d shared — more like what I thought we’d shared—at the stable. Why I thought he ever cared about me proves how stupid I’ve been.

Jesse was pretty sharp and knew me well. When he threw his arm around my shoulder and leaned in to whisper, I knew he’d figured it out.

“I’m guessing that’s Declan.” He squeezed me tighter. I think he actually held me together.

I nodded, mute from the pain. I refused to show him he’d again taken a battering ram to my heart. So I steeled my expression and acted as if I hated him. And right now, I did.

“Let’s go.” Jesse unhooked his arm from around my shoulder, took me by the hand, and led me to a booth in the back, out of sight from the bar. I couldn’t see him from where we finally sat, which was a good thing.

I slid into the booth, and Jesse slid in beside me. “Are you okay?” The concern on his face was worn by my best friend for as long as I could remember. His concern was genuine.

I shook my head. “No, not one part of me is okay. I need a drink. And something to break or throw. Do they have darts?” I looked around.

“Damn, Callum. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you react this way to anyone.”

I shrugged and laughed to cover up my misery. “I’ve never loved anyone the way I love that asshole.” I laughed bitterly. “I’ve got to find a way to get over him. It’s been almost a year, and then the two weeks at the stables. God damn!” I shut my eyes, rubbing my chest over my heart. It was literally breaking in my chest.

“I told you how to forget him,” he said. “I’d fuck you, but I don’t think it would hold the same appeal.”

I looked at him and scrunched up my face. “Gross, dude! You’re like my brother!”

This is book 4 in the Package Deal series by these authors, and it was definitely a different feel than the others, to me. It was a lot about learning to communicate, even as it’s something you’ve never done well before. And finding forgiveness, so much forgiveness.

Let’s face it, Declan was an a-hole after their one night stand. Rather than acknowledging how it felt for both of them, he just basically told Callum “yeah, you were one night, and I’m done”, without even learning his name. This comes back to haunt him months later, despite him having thought of Callum the entire time. In his defense, Declan’s ex-wife was a piece of work, and caused him to feel that he was the one who effed up their relationship.

Callum, a sweet vet, with a lot of steel in his spine. He didn’t put up with crap from Declan. Even when Declan declared their one night stand meant nothing, Callum didn’t hesitate to tell him to get out. Their interactions when they were still enemies were hilarious to me though. Callum declaring they were not sleeping together again (for a third time) and Declan basically laughing and saying “you go ahead and think that”.

Declan kept trying to apologize in his own way, but honestly didn’t really understand well enough how to communicate to do it well, and figure out that what he wanted was what Callum was looking for. Emotional intelligence, thy name is NOT Declan. He learned, but what a hard head. 🙂 I did love though how he was able to recognize Callum being stretched too thin, and jumped in where he could, with a specialty that Callum wasn’t quite as good at. Declan took time to come around, but when he did, he still had to figure out how to bring Callum back around.

I’ll leave some of the surprises, but it is an enjoyable book, and I always love a book that has a good sports theme. This one is a little spare on the football part, but it is still a big part of the background for the MC’s and all their friends.

Emerson Beckett is new to the publishing world. As an avid sports fan and lover of well-written M/M romance books, Emerson loves her new career as an author of gay romance. It’s even more fulfilling for her when she can combine the two.

Like I Needed by Charlie Novak: New Release Review

February 27, 2023 by Denise

.                                       .

One night isn’t supposed to lead to love.

Jamie Stone is rich, beautiful, and bored out of his skull. The past few years have been an endless round of parties, and the decadence has lost its lustre. When a late night decision to get away lands him in the small seaside town of Heather Bay, Jamie’s convinced he’s made a mistake.

Heather Bay is no Ibiza, but it does have Will.

Will is stressed, stretched, and doesn’t have time for anything but work. He’s too busy trying to keep his head above water to focus on the London party boy who keeps ending up in his bed. Jamie is nothing but a distraction, but Will can’t resist coming back for more, especially with the harsh realities of farming nipping at his heels.

With the clock ticking on Jamie’s stay and the chaos of lambing season fast approaching, both men will have to look beyond themselves and let go of their fears. If they can, they might find the one thing they’ve always needed.

Like I Needed is a steamy and sweet hook-ups to lovers contemporary MM romance featuring a city boy with a hedonistic reputation, a gruff farmer in need of a break, endless amounts of snow, friends with no boundaries, terrible scrambled eggs, and the breathtaking beauty of the Yorkshire moors.

It is book three in the Heather Bay series and while it can be read as a standalone, it’s best enjoyed as part of the series.

Amazon – Kindle Unlimited – All Regions

This series just has my heart. This is the third book in the Heather Bay series, and I hope that it goes on for a while. It is not high angst, has lots of happy endings (of all kinds) and the characters are such varying personalities, but yet all have something to contribute to the group of friends. I can imagine hanging out with them on one of those Friday nights and having a blast as they all harass each other.

Jamie, a rich boy who is mostly ignored by his parents, and partied and slept with anyone and everyone finally decided he needed something different in his life. So, he heads out to Heather Bay, and finds what he was looking for without knowing that was what he needed. He transitioned slowly throughout the book, going from never having seen a sheep to having one give birth in his hands, and bottle feeding baby lambs. It was gradual, but he just slotted himself in well at the farm, and into Will’s life.

Will, a workaholic by necessity as much as desire, really didn’t have time for Jamie, but he made time. First with a little fun in Jamie’s hotel room, then as Jamie came to the farm showing him how he could help Will with some of the farm’s needs. Will grew as well, learning to trust that Jamie wasn’t on his way out of town, and finding ways to show him that he was needed on the farm.

This was a low angst book, there wasn’t a huge breakup and makeup, no angry words. It really was just two men slowly falling in love, while learning to trust and feel, something they never knew how to do before.

I loved this, and can’t wait to read the next story, and (hopefully!) get to listen to this one on audiobook, as well.

His career a mess and the excitement of his sex life fading, Rod is ready for a change. He needs someone who can fit into his world as a true partner, but also feed his dominant and sadistic sides. Impossible? Maybe, but he needs to try. He signs up for a new dating app, just as a feisty young man catches his eye.

Desperate to escape his dead-end existence in the US, Caleb flees to England in search of a different life. But without a proper job, he might be forced to return home. Along comes a trusted friend, a new dating app, and a chance to find a cuddly bear to submit to.

Consumed by his white-hot passion with Caleb, Rod pushes hard for their relationship to progress. He refuses to let his perfect sub slip from his grasp, and he’ll do whatever it takes to earn his love before they run out of time.

A high-heat MM romance.

Amazon – Kindle Unlimited – All Regions

I honestly didn’t know what to expect with this book. I haven’t read this author before, and I didn’t read any of the other books in this series yet. But this was a cute premise, basically an app that matches people who are looking for Bears.

That isn’t how the MC’s initially meet, though. They meet following a bar fight, where the sweet Bear Rod takes care of Caleb, and gets a smoking hot kiss in return.

Caleb has a lot of issues around what he left in Chicago (Shout out to Portillo’s! Just had it last week!) and trying to find a way to work within Bristol in the UK. Since he doesn’t have a work visa, and is waiting for that, he resorts to illegal means to get whatever money he can to survive. And his mom…and entire family…what a piece of work. Caleb deserved so much better than what he received in return.

Meanwhile, Rod just wants to take care of Caleb, make sure he isn’t hurt, and do whatever he can for him. Caleb accepts some of it, but not as much as Rod would like. Rod was so patient, knowing that he wanted to lock up Caleb to keep him safe, unsure if he would even return to him when he left, but he never wavered.

There were a few places that left me wanting a deeper resolution, although one of them came through at the end. That being said, it almost felt like an afterthought, in how easily it resolved.

Overall, a book I would recommend if you’re wanting a BDSM with a side of sweet bear.

Harlequin

This book is from a traditional publishing, Harlequin Special Edition. These are the books that as a teenager, if I got one…oh my…lol. I’m glad to see how they’ve evolved more. More diversity in the MC’s as well as the side characters, and different sexualities are referenced. This isn’t your grandma’s romance novel, and that was all right with me. 🙂

This book had such great representation. In fact, there really was only one character who was a white male, and cisgender. Both Creole and Spanish language phrases were sprinkled throughout the book as well. I really enjoyed that. Quite often, when MC’s speak different languages, you might see one or two references to it, but this book had the languages represented from beginning to end.

Rafi was a control freak, trying to keep everything exactly in the path that he laid down, and love wasn’t really in his life’s plan. The guilt over how his mother died permeated every interaction he had in his life. This made the book a bit of a slow burn, from enemies to lovers. Their first kiss was before the book started, then the first reader read kiss wasn’t until over halfway through the book. It took them a while to get from calling each other names to calling each others’ names.

Étienne, meanwhile, was very much the opposite of Rafi. He was open to love, open to life and new experiences. He’d had his own tragedy on his island in Haiti, before moving to NYC. For Étienne, it caused him to not want to waste a minute of life. It did lead to some heartbreak for him, as well.

There were some issues that I felt were unresolved, or not fully resolved to my satisfaction. In addition, the book is written very formally. The everyday language used was stilted in some places, using words that are not normally in the vernacular. That piece definitely harked back to the older days of romance novels.

This was definitely opposites attract with, of course, a Harlequin guaranteed HEA. An enjoyable read.

Fairy Cakes in Winter: An M/M Age-Gap, Grumpy/Sunshine Romance by Lane Hayes: New Release Review

February 18, 2023 by Denise

A grumpy baker, a quirky ad man, and a recipe for forever…

Scott

So this cute guy sits next to me on the plane and proceeds to talk my ear off for hours. Not good. I don’t like talking and I don’t like strangers. But Theo’s sweet, smart, and sexy—the perfect distraction from business woes and personal worries.

Okay, things get overly friendly, but we’re adults who know the score. I’m too old, he’s too nice, and we live on different continents.

Then, out of the blue, he shows up at my bakery with that pretty smile and a list of wacky marketing ideas—like how to make fairy cakes a thing.

I don’t like fairy cakes.

But I do like Theo, so…maybe?

Theo

The new me takes risks. The new me is brave and confident. The new me flirts with hunky, imposing bears on planes while traveling to a foreign country.

It’s going well, thank you.

However, my plans to sight-see, drink tea, and eat my weight in biscuits every day are derailed when I realize there might be a way to help Scott and prove a few things to myself.

Don’t worry. I won’t fall for the grumpy baker. No way. He’s complicated and broody and—

Uh oh…it might be too late. Help!

Fairy Cakes in Winter is a bisexual, age-gap, grumpy/sunshine MM romance featuring a sexy baker, a sunny tourist, and a few dozen fairy cakes.

Amazon – Kindle Unlimited – All Regions

This was a cute, fun, no angst romp.

I don’t often read blurbs of authors I like. I just jump in. So I honestly was thinking that Theo was the baker and Scott was a stuffy businessman when they first met on a flight from Seattle to London. Nope. Scott is grumpy, a bit, but he is a baker. And Theo is sort of between jobs. He left a marketing job to become a CPA. In the interim he is off for a month long vacation to see his mother.

His month long vacation turns into vacation fling and some of his previous marketing experience to help Scott’s bakery become more successful.

Theo does spend time with his mother. Seeing the sights in her town. It just so happens that Scott has a pop up shop one town over. How convenient.

Yes, the story is very sweet, but also spicy. But the sexy times are well placed and not used to simply take up page space.

There was a brief thing at the beginning with a friend maybe flirting with Scott by text, but it’s never mentioned again.

This is a quick, fun, happy read for the winter blahs. Grab a fairy cake and a cup of tea and jump in.

✨EXCERPT: DON’T FALL by Author E.M. Lindsey releasing July 1st!#PreOrderNowa.co/d/00RZxM7K “Leo,” I murmur. I have no idea what I’m doing. I have no idea what’s meant to come next. All I know is that he wants me and that he fist-fought his own brain to admit it.And I don’t think the moment will last if I hesitate for even a second. This is my first and only chance with him.“Lean back,” I tell him. I have no idea where any of this is coming from, but the way he obeys me is fucking heady. It’s going to ruin me for the rest of my life, for any other person I ever sleep with after this.I’m going to leave most of my heart and part of my soul on this bedroom floor, and I won’t be coming back for it.Leo stares up at me under his long, dark lashes. He’s the same man I’ve always seen: shattered, exhausted, shaped by injury and grief. The man who doesn’t believe he deserves a second happily ever after. But he’s also something else now.Not quite mine, but I’m allowing myself to say he is, only for this moment.Lifting higher onto my knees, my hands creep along his thighs and I begin to tug the robe open. He doesn’t stop me. He watches with fevered eyes, one turned in slightly, but still so fucking focused on the way I’m touching him.I’m terrified something I say or do is going to break this spell and he’s going to banish me from this space, so I take my time drawing the tie on his robe open so I can see all of him.And every inch is fucking gorgeous.#emlindsey #mmromance The Author Agency ... ✨It’s cover reveal day for HUNT ME by @authoremlindsey & @coraroseauthor releasing August 7th!#PreOrderNowbooks2read.com/u/388EGa Why you need to #ONECLICK this book…🔥Strangers to Lovers🔥Stalking as a Love Language🔥Deaf Drag Queen🔥Panty Wearing🔥Autistic character rep🔥Coffins as a special interest🔥Cemetery flower bouquets🔥Only One Bed🔥Forced Proximity🔥MM RomanceDoing Deaf drag isn’t supposed to come with threats to my life, damn it. I’ve had a stalker before, and apparently—even after involving my friend from the FBI—he’s decided to come back and make my life hell. But this time, however, a slightly terrifying stranger shows up to play hero.He knocked my stalker on his ass and left me with blood smears on my jaw and a kiss on my lips so devastating, it threatened to rearrange my whole life. And then he disappeared into the shadows. But just when I think I’ll never see him again, I find him haunting my steps everywhere I turn. It’s not long before I realize hunting me might be his love language, and god help me, I think I’m into it. Especially when each time he catches me, he leaves me breathless and wanting more.My stalker is still around, but being with Archie is worth whatever the unwelcome blast from my past wants to throw at me.After all, having a boyfriend with a thing for knives, coffins, and funeral flowers is a great way to protect myself, and if his obsession and love for me isn’t enough to take my stalker down, my determination to get my happily ever after will.Hunt Me is the first book in the morally grey rom-com series Murder Hearts. It’s a spicy, MM stalker-to-lover romance with forced proximity, coffins as a special interest, an Autistic MC, a Deaf Drag Queen who doesn’t have time for anyone’s BS, stalking as a love language, a set of lovable murder brothers, an unhinged cat café, and a steamy, swoony, happily ever after.✨INFLUENCERS: Sign up here for this amazing release: bit.ly/HUNTMESIGNUPCover Credit:BreathlessLit#coverreveal #corarose #emlindsey #mmromance The Author Agency ... ✨TEASER: THE GEEK AND THE GHOST by Cambria Hebert releasing July 10th!#PreOrderNowa.co/d/07PLBaC9 Why you will love this book…🔥Hero with a villain complex🔥Pocket-sized Geek🔥Over the top possessive🔥MC Rescue Fantasy🔥Banter🔥Chronic illness rep🔥Touch him and die🔥Size difference🔥Dude in distress (suspense)🔥Hurt/Comfort🔥Homeless MC 🔥MM RomanceI’m about thirty seconds from a toe tag and my own freezer at the mortuary when he materializes from the shadows and fights like hell to keep me breathing.I had no idea homeless disasters like me got guardian angels—or that guardian angels punch people and smoke—but suddenly, there he is: a hero dressed all in black who ghosts me so hard I consider calling a medium. But that would be a waste of money I don’t have.I thought I’d never see him again, but just as I’m about to eat a bullet, he appears, using his body to protect mine. I might have swooned—okay, fine, I do but only on the inside—if it weren’t for the fact he thinks bleeding is an adequate apology for implying I’m a prostitute and running off with my heart.Spoiler alert: It’s not.Now the man with a PhD in vanishing, a tattoo that totally offends me, and eyes with their own force of gravity is suddenly stuck to me like glue and being wildly inconvenient about it.And he won’t stop calling me a pipgeek. What even is that?He insists I trust him, but I can’t trust anyone, not even my own body. Unfortunately, when the resident drug lord calls in that favor I foolishly owe, things go from bad to catastrophic with alarming enthusiasm. On the upside, having a villain with a hero complex for a stalker means staying alive will be easy. But not getting hurt again is a whole other story.✨INFLUENCERS: Sign up for this awesome release: bit.ly/TGATGSIGNUP#cambriahebert #mmromance The Author Agency ... ✨TEASER: DRIPPED by @charlienwrites releasing July 9th!#PreOrderNowmybook.to/lickittwoWhy you need to #ONECLICK this book…🍦Boss x Employee🍦Hooking Up For Stress Relief🍦“Just For The Summer”🍦Late Night Kitchen Dates🍦Friends To Lovers🍦Oops We Caught Feelings🍦Supportive & Nosy Friends🍦Pet Names🍦Spicy & Sweet🍦MM romanceFulfilling my childhood wish of opening an ice cream shop is meant to be a dream come true, not a stress-inducing nightmare. And it’s not meant to make my friends concerned for my health either. But I’ll be fine! All we have to do is survive the summer and then I’ll be able to breathe again. My employee Owen has a different idea, though. He’s seen me watching him swim every morning, and he knows I think he’s ridiculously hot, so he proposes a simple solution to my stress: a summer-long, no-strings hook-up arrangement. It’s the perfect plan on paper. Except, the longer summer goes on, the more I’m developing feelings for the sunshine swimmer who loves my dream as much as I do. But I can’t tell him that. Because Owen doesn’t plan to stay. And I can’t ask him to. Even if letting him walk away would be the worst decision I’ve ever made. Meet Darcy and Owen in the second book of the Lick It! series, set around an artisan ice cream parlour on the Yorkshire coast. It features a stressed out shop owner and his very laid back employee who’s determined to help his boss relax, a ‘just for the summer’ hook-up, late night kitchen dates, friends to lovers, oops we caught feelings (but we’re not talking about it), supportive and nosy friends, pet names, delicious ice cream, and plenty of sweetness and spice. ✨INFLUENCERS: Sign up to review this awesome release: bit.ly/drippedsignup#charlienovak #mmromance The Author Agency ...
