honestly I don’t think it ever will, not for me. I never learned how to
The beginning starts off basically where A Perfect Passion left off . We get to hear from Damien and Dax, as well as Damien’s crazy ex-boyfriend, Aaron.
Damien calls in Payce to help him find Aaron who has been stalking both him and Dax. We meet Payce, who initially seems to be this hard well structured guy but once he is asked to help search for Aaron, things take a turn and we see a different side of Payce .
Payce is led to Braxton’s Tavern and Grill which happens to be owned by Braxton, the one man who Payce has never been able to get out of his heart .
This story shows how two people, who have not had any contact for over seven years due to unfortunate situations, connect and try to trust and start over again .
I have to say the scenes between Payce and Braxton are scorching and quite passionate. You have to read this to get the full effect of how things work out .
We meet other characters also that will have you laughing hard. We meet the firecracker, Serge, (nicknamed Sparky), through Payce and also Braxton’s right hand man Ash.
I enjoyed this story so much. I was very anxious for it and Piper did not disappoint.
were always the one, you know? The one I love right this minute, and
the one I have loved every single day for the last seven years, Payce.”
me. “Good, don’t ever stop. Now that we’re done with all the girly sap
shit, get over hear and fuck me blind, Payce.” He starts to laugh and
rolls off me.
“Where did all that come from, Christ.” “Shit! No idea, Oh f**k, Brax, that was all you causing that. I’ve never hurt so damn good baby.” I lick my bottom lip.

Denise’s Favorite “A Perfect Passion” Quote:
I glance across the hallway, harmless. Dax walks out with a towel around him, and drops it to the floor. He’s naked as a jaybird. Holy mother of HAWT!…His ass is tight like a fucking Gladiator, and the way he just dangles in the wind…whew!
My mouth drops open. I think I’ve shredded through the studs on the way down to the first floor!~picks carpet fibers from teeth~

“Why don’t you quit talking, Payce, and make yourself useful?” Brax raises an eyebrow at me.
“Hmmm…who’s being cocky now?” I curl my hand around his dick and yank him to me. “Like this?” I give him a grin and tighten my grip.
“No, like this.” He spins me back and slams me against the wall behind me. He buries his tongue inside my mouth, quickly swirling around mine then pulls out.
I laugh. “Fucking tease.” I tug him tighter, and quicker.
Random Comment by Denise: Oh my GAWD!!! SO HOT!!!!
“Confident, I like that. And what exactly is it that you want from me, Brax?” He tugs me tighter.
“You yelling my name as you come,” he whispers, then licks at my lobe, growling in my ear.
“My God, you’re addictive, Brax.” I lean over, kissing each eyelids. “I can’t seem to get enough of you,” I moan as our mouths meet and we kiss.
“I hope you never do.” Both hands reach up to my face and his long fingers trace along both cheeks then to my chin. “I always knew where my heart belonged, Payce.”

the series: Pray the Gay Away, Sending Jack Off to Jesus and My Big Fat Southern

succession, and they are not standalone, you will need to read them in order.
Jack instantly falling in love with Andrew.
Andrew is sure Jack is messing with him, but Jack sees through
Andrew. He can see that Andrew is slowly
starving to death, and Jack does everything to change that. Both young men (they are both eighteen at the
start of the series) are closeted, because in the deep South you cannot be a

beautiful to watch. They rarely get any
time together, but when they do, they make the most of it. Sneaking touches or kisses when they can, yet
not letting anyone know about each other.
Jack continues to save Andrew in so many ways, and works hard on the
football field to make sure that he can make a life for them both once they
leave high school.

the reader get complacent with this love story.
As in the real world, outside forces always are lurking to potentially cause

three books to read, in my opinion. To
watch these young men go through as much as they did, be torn apart and left
bleeding emotionally was just so tough to read.
They loved each other so much, and yet people felt they had the right to
interfere. I was so very angry, and
found myself yelling at my kindle things like “why couldn’t Jack do…” or “how
could that happen to Andrew without…” To
me those are signs of a good book. If I
find myself trying to give characters advice, that normally bodes well for the
level of writing. These characters are

Ms. York will put it back again in Book 3.

broken, and continuing to break. I got
the book in the evening, and immediately started it. I wouldn’t put it down until I got to a
certain point (when you read it, you will know what that point is—Thanksgiving.) I also cried for about the first 30% of the
book. These young men, age 19 at this
point, had already gone through so much, and didn’t have each other to lean on
when their worlds were falling apart.
The way they return to each others’ lives is probably the most
heartbreaking of all. The pain and
suffering these men, and many young gay men in society today, went through to

else, as well as how close one can come to losing it all and never knowing it.

I will start this review by admitting that I was a bit hesitant to read Double Alchemy. I have only read one other paranormal book,
and it was far more comedy than paranormal.
I enjoyed it, but it did not instill a love of paranormal. However, because it was Susan Mac Nicol, I knew this was a must read. In fact, I had previously hesitated on a few of her books, for no real reason other than my own fears! Susan writes so deeply and with such intensity that sometimes the book description has scared me off a little, although after reading them, I have no idea why. That being said, I have read all of her M/M books now, and after finally reading Saving Alexander, I said that I would no
longer hesitate, and immediately bought Double Alchemy. As always, Susan did not disappoint.
Quinn immediately knows that Cade is his soulmate, but he also has Sprite in him, making them irresistible to each other. Their attraction is immediate, animalistic, and HOT!!!! When these two men come together, sparks fly.

slightest things. Cade saw Quinn as the
human, with faults and annoying habits, and loved him anyway. Cade was never nervous about telling Quinn
where to put those bad habits, either, no matter who was around. And they were able to enjoy each other, have
fun and laugh together.

action. There was a lot going on, and
things kept brewing up, would be settled, then more would come up. However, my concern with paranormal has
always been that I wouldn’t quite understand what was happening (okay, that
might have been just my own fear) but Susan made sure that the reader
understood all the magyck as the men worked through all their trials and
tribulations. There were so many layers to this book, and yet Susan made it possible to not only follow along but kept you wondering as to what else could come up!
enough unanswered questions that I can smell a Warlock King and Fey Sprite
Volume 2 ahead. And I, for one, can’t
wait! (I might have seen a posting somewhere that the “Climax” is in edits. Woo Hoo!)
would be that there were a few errors in the book that perhaps should have been caught during editing, but not
enough to take away from the heart of the story.
adventure. For a Susan Mac Nicol, it was
another amazing book. It was full of
lots of undeniable love, hot sex scenes, action and interesting secondary
characters (I am sure there is more to Marco than appears initially!).
