After a decade of serving in the Army, everyone still expects me to be Dominic “Nicky” Costigan, the skirt-chasing player. They don’t know that I’ve been spending my days trying to figure out how to pick up guys.
When I meet Luke on a hookup app, he makes it clear it’s for one-night only. That’s fine with me, because I’m down to see what this silver fox can do. But when I arrive on his doorstep, it doesn’t take long to determine we have serious chemistry. That one-night rule? It doesn’t last.
He’s got more walls around his heart than a military base, but I think he’s as addicted to me as I am to him. He can’t resist me for long. I mean, who can? Except Luke’s rules exist for a reason, and when I test his limits, things get complicated. Maybe too complicated…
When I started Fast Connection I wasn’t too sure how I felt about Dominic Costigan. He seemed like he could be such an arrogant ass in Strong Signal. I was worried I wouldn’t like him. When I got to know him I sorta fell in love. He was a pretty funny guy. He cared deeply for his family even though he butted heads with his father more often than not and he had real fears about his future after not reenlisting in the Army. He adores his sister and would do anything for her. He was just a good guy deep down.
Luke was a pretty complicated person in my opinion. He is such a hard individual and had no problems shoving men away once he was done with them. Once I learned a little more about his past I understood his personality. He is a great father. I enjoyed watching him fall head over heels and lose his heart to Dominic.
Dominic and Luke had amazing chemistry. The sex was off the charts. Some of their banter back and forth had me in tears laughing.
This was a very emotional story and was so realistic. It was wonderfully written and flowed well. The ending was fantastic. The secondary characters brought so much to the story and I loved getting to see Kai and Garrett. This story can be read as a standalone but I would suggest reading Strong Signal first. It will mean more to you that way. This is a definite reread for me and I didn’t want to put it down.

Another hit by these two authors. Dominic and Luke just did it for me. I really felt for Dominic and how lost he felt. Coming home after fighting for our country and trying to figure out what to do next. I thought the authors created a character who was very easy to relate too. But oh boy, did his dad frustrate me to no end. Luke was also very well written. A man with teenage kids who kept his sex life restricted to when the kids were with their mom. I understand his reasoning for doing this, for not wanting to let his kids know about people he wasn’t serious about. I thought Dominic and Luke were great compliments to each other. The trials and bumps in their relationship were very believable and didn’t feel contrived. The sexy times were HAWT and I really liked how the authors wrote them. This story made me laugh, and tear up a little which is the sign of a perfect story. This a amazing story with wonderful characters.

Megan Erickson is a USA Today bestselling author of romance that sizzles. Her books have a touch of nerd, a dash of humor, and always have a happily ever after. A former journalist, she switched to fiction when she decided she likes writing her own endings better.
She lives in Pennsylvania with her very own nerdy husband and two kids. Although rather fun-sized, she’s been told she has a full-sized personality. When Megan isn’t writing, she’s either lounging with her two cats named after John Hughes characters or… thinking about writing.
Santino Hassell was raised by a conservative family, but he was anything but traditional. He grew up to be a smart-mouthed, school cutting grunge kid, then a transient twenty-something, and eventually transformed into an unlikely romance author.
Santino writes queer romance that is heavily influenced by the gritty, urban landscape of New York City, his belief that human relationships are complex and flawed, and his own life experiences.
