Sex
and murder don’t mix but Detective Toshiro Genjin and psychic John Holmes do…
John
Holmes comes to Tokyo to help stop a killer. Through the use of his psychic
abilities, he can help find out things that no one else sees. Toshi is a
policeman who reluctantly accepts John’s help, but from their first touch, John
knows he wants more than that. He wants all Toshi can give him, and the heat
between them surprises, and delights him.
The modern killer, a historical murder of two samurai,
and Toshi’s need to honor other commitments combine to make the blooming love
between John and Toshi difficult. And dangerous. The more deeply they delve
into the past, the more unsure the future looks. Could the heat between them be
the only thing that can solve the mystery, despite all of the difficulties that
stand in their way? Can they find a way to keep what is most precious to them?
Haunting and powerful, His Beautiful Samurai is a murder mystery, a romance,
and a study in the supernatural. Get your hands on it today!
Author Guest Post:

Please forgive me. I just couldn’t help myself. A
work I created and populated, born of the man in my life who means everything
to me and the path my life has taken, has become so much a part of me that I
couldn’t fight the need anymore.
What need am I talking about? Simply, my need, as an author and
person, to allow myself to spend more time in this world, the world of the
White Tigers. As you may or may not know, John and Toshi encounter the world of
the White Tiger in the sequel to His Beautiful Samurai, entitled, Beautiful
Samurai, White Tiger, when Toshi is asked by a friend of his uncle’s to search
for a missing young man. Their search takes Toshi and John to this sensual gay
men’s hotel full of gorgeous, scantily clad guys. Not long after writing
Beautiful Samurai, White Tiger, I realized there were many more stories to be
told here, a cornucopia of hot m/m romances.
You might ask, well, if you love it so much, of course, that seems
perfectly natural! Why wouldn’t you write as many stories as you can?
Especially when there is a definite group of readers (bless all of you deep in
my heart!) who also love that world.
It wasn’t so simple. Even though I adore the White Tigers and have
gotten untold amounts of satisfaction and pleasure in writing this series, I
was younger, less experienced and carried a strong belief that I had burned
myself out, written myself out, that the series was done, nothing left, even
though I had two more stories in mind (i,e, that of the twins Mod and Tatou and
that of Jin and Wu Li who make an appearance in Men of Tokyo: Sudden Heat.
I didn’t realize that it would be best just to continue this
series and not worry about writing books I believed would be more popular. Now
I have taken the time to write to people who have signed the White Tigers
Fanlist as well as all those good-hearted kind and supportive readers on sites
like Facebook and Goodreads who have personally told me how much they loved the
series or have written one after the other reviews saying how much they loved
it. Yet others have written to me personally and expressed how much the White
Tigers stories have been comforting, helped them in their lives and moved them
deeply. How could I have been so short-sighted?!

Once I understood this
truth, I set about to fixing it immediately and within an hour had half of the
first chapter done of the next book in the series, Men of Tokyo: Forbidden
Cravings, the story of Mod and Tatou, the twins who are so mischievous and
lovable. They are crazy about Quan Chan and always tease him and make him
blush, but they are also two of his greatest admirers and did everything they
could to comfort him when his heart was broken in <strong>Men of Tokyo:
Sudden Surrender.</strong> However, Mod and Tatou are also as deep and
intelligent as they are mischievous and sexy and the story of how they came to
be at the White Tiger is in the process of being told. The good news also is
that for established readers of the White Tigers, Mod and Tatou’s story is an
enriching addition to the series and for readers new to the series, Men of
Tokyo: Forbidden Cravings can be read as a prequel to the whole series!

Excerpt:

Boston, Massachusetts
“In other world news tonight, in Tokyo, Japan, a serial killer has been terrorizing the eastern portion of the city for the last six months.”

John reached out to switch off the set, but something held him back.

“The Ronin Killer, has been dubbed so by Tokyo Metropolitan Police because of the use of a samurai sword to spear his victims.”

John sat at full attention, uncertain whether it was the military man in him, or the empathic psychic. Old habits didn’t just die hard, they went kicking and screaming. He stared at the screen. Police were loading sheet-covered corpses, apparently two bodies together, into the medical van outside of what appeared to be a fancy hotel. The top of the sheet protruded upward, attesting to the sword. It was obvious the killer had skewered his victims together. Christ…

“The Ronin Killer, so named after the masterless samurai warriors of Japan,” the anchorwoman went on, “refers to the manner in which the killer chooses his victims, seemingly at random, and then murders them with a samurai weapon. Police have been frustrated in the efforts to capture the Ronin Killer before his next strike. Their only clue is the manner in which two victims are killed at once, either in an embrace or during sexual intercourse.”

“Damn,” John murmured, a sick feeling rising in his gut. He continued to watch the footage.

“Police Inspectors Natsuka Yamamoto and Toshiro Genjin of the Criminal Investigation Bureau have been on the case since the first victims appeared nearly six months ago. They refused to comment on the string of murders.”

The cameras zoomed in on the two men. They were leaving the building. A middle-aged, shorter man walked in front of the other detective, seeming to shield him, but the cameras managed to catch glimpses of the second detective. A few seconds sufficed for John to see that the younger man was slim and handsome. John’s heart sped up slightly. The detective’s ebony hair framed an angular face in sexy layers that curled over his collar.

John watched the screen, his gaze glued on the taller figure of the young detective until he was no longer visible. The segment ended and John switched off the set. He shook his head. There was a time when he would have immediately booked a flight to Tokyo and turned up at the police station, offering his services to catch the killer. Hell, that Japanese detective was almost good-looking enough to pull him from his rest cure. However, his nerves were still shot from the series of cases he’d worked on with police over the last few years. Four months hadn’t proved to be enough of a vacation. His hands had only stopped shaking in the last week.

He pushed the image of that guy from his mind, fighting back the nagging spirals of heat whispering about in his long-neglected groin area. John Holmes filled his days with walks in the park, counseling at the VA, and whatever leisure and athletic activities would keep him fit between reading trashy detective novels and staring into space. No antique stores for him, nor any other place where the lives of the dead could crash in on him. No touching other people so he could experience all their grief and anguish and learn their deepest secrets. He didn’t even take his reading material from the library or get it at used bookstores because he’d sense the lives of the people who’d touched the book before him. He was resting until his own soul told him he was ready again.

Blog Tour Stop, Review and Giveaway: Looking at Forever by Ann Lister

coverSynopsis:

Mick Wheland, Ivory
Tower’s bad-boy guitarist, has recently realized two important things
about himself. He prefers sex with men over women, and the idea of a
committed relationship doesn’t scare him as much as it once did. He’s
seen the positive effects of love from watching his band-mates find life
partners, and now he’s thinking he might be ready for the same himself.
The problem is knowing where to look for Mr. Right, and living out of a
suitcase while touring with a band is not exactly conducive to finding
real love.

Sonny (Rooster)
Roostarelli leaves the seclusion of his Vancouver cabin, where he went
to lick his wounds after a contentious divorce, and moves back to Los
Angeles. He claims relocating to L.A. is for business purposes, but now
that the dust has settled on his failed marriage, Rooster feels he might
finally be ready to settle down – with a man.

A chance encounter for Wheland and Rooster on a busy L.A. street
rekindles an old friendship between the two professional musicians.
Rooster needs a short-term place to stay and Wheland has plenty of extra
space at his hillside estate and that lands Rooster in Wheland’s guest
room.

What starts out as a music collaboration opportunity quickly turns
personal when the chemistry they have becomes too strong to ignore and
soon the music they’re making spills from the studio and into the
bedroom.

The road is a grueling bitch musicians love to hate. Being on stage
under the hot lights can sometimes be the only place they feel
comfortable and alive. Can two high-profile rock stars make a life
together in such an artificial world – on and off the stage… or will
past mistakes and family secrets keep them from finding their forever?

 mick wheland sonny
Morgan’s Review:
I will start out by saying; this book is my favorite in The
Rock Gods Series.  It starts out with a
chance encounter between two old friends that get to reconnect.  The attraction between the two is off the
charts intense.  Once the two begin to
give in to the chemistry the romance is beautiful.

As the bands Tour kicks off, we get to learn more about Wheland’s
past and see the reasons behind the choices he has made throughout the previous
books.  Getting to really know him down
deep was so interesting.   Rooster is just perfect for Wheland.  He is so supportive and exactly what Wheland
needs in his life.  He is the perfect
submissive match for Wheland’s dominate side.
Throughout the book we get to see Wheland mature and grow into someone
that has never had a serious relationship, to a man that falls hard and loves
with his whole being.  I really enjoyed
getting to know Rooster as well.  He was
such a genuinely sweet person.

This installment is full of every type of emotion.  The book is really well written and the
absolute love on the pages will tug at your heart.  I adored this story and these two are now,
without a doubt, my favorite couple.  Have some tissues ready at the end!
Final Determination is five pieces of eye candy:

Denise’s Review:

Holy Cow! I just finished this, and had to sit in my car and cry it out. Side note, if I am going to continue to read some of these books, I need to keep tissues in my car. 🙂

What an incredible love story. A little bit of insta-love, and yet not. They truly just found each other, then just slowly fell in love. Through some tough times, and then some truly tragic times, they continued to be there for one another, without question, without fail.

This book was a whole lot like watching a movie, seeing how their lives played out in front of them, living them, supporting each other, and having some seriously HAWT loving as well. If you had some “issues” with Wheland in the last book, you come to understand more about why and how his personality became what it was, and why he had so many issues with Cooper.

We also get to catch up on the guys we have already fell in love with, as well as see a couple of potential books ahead for the Rock Gods series.

Ms. Lister continues to improve as an author, and I would say this one is definitely the best I have read yet! Cannot wait to see how this series continues to move forward.

Final determination for me is five pieces of eye candy (Morgan and I think the same!) and a congrats to Ms. Lister on an amazing ride.

Blog tour stop, review, interview, excerpt and giveaway: Love You Senseless by Susan Mac Nicol

Synopsis:

One of London’s up-and-coming chefs, Eddie Tripp has just the right recipe to drive tragedy from the mind of Gideon Kent—and leave him senseless with desire.

THE MEN OF LONDON
From Soho to Norwich, there’s no escaping love.

A TASTE OF FOREVER
An award-winning chef with his own restaurant and an inexhaustible passion, Gideon Kent once had everything. Then came tragedy. It stole more than Gideon’s home. He hasn’t cooked since.

Until Eddie Tripp. Fun-loving and vivacious, the Norfolk redhead’s a real up-and-comer in Gideon’s kitchen—and other places. Slim where Gideon’s broad, easy-going where Gideon is growly, he and Gideon seem polar opposites, and yet Eddie conjures flavors that would tempt anyone with a taste for perfection. The sauce of love is already simmering, and this pair is about to dine on the most delicious dish they’ve ever prepared. Because Eddie’s been Gideon’s missing ingredient all along.

Book Title:   Love You Senseless: Men of London

Author:  Susan Mac Nicol
Publisher:   Boroughs Publishing Group
Book Length:  160 pages
Genre:  Gay, Romance, Novel

Denise’s Review:

I
am going to take a moment and fangirl (just sit back and relax). Months
ago, Ms. Mac Nicol posted in her FB group a picture, starting a contest
to name the restaurant that would be featured in her new series, Men of
London. Something in that moment captivated me. I’m not sure if it was
the picture, the challenge of the competition (which I did not win,
sadly), or just her description of the location and characters that were
swirling in her head. Nonetheless, I was instantly taken with the idea
of this series, and on more than one occasion, I might have asked
Sue “when is this coming” in a not so whiny voice. She would ever so
patiently answer me, and I would be relieved for a short time until it
was time to ask again–usually when I needed a jolt on a book.

So,
needless to say, when this book came out, I immediately jumped on it (I
have already learned not to pre-order because it clearly does not help
the author’s rankings, and I want them to get the best ranking
possible!). Unfortunately, I was in the middle of another book I needed
to read for a review, and had to wait three whole endless days–once
again, I was deterred from reading another Susan Mac Nicol book–it is
as if the universe has decided that delayed gratification will help me
here, which is NOT true. 🙂

Anyway,
how about on to the review? I was not disappointed in Love You
Senseless, at all. It was everything I had been clamoring for and more.
Gideon, with his painful past, and his tough as nails attitude, combined
with his current sensory deprivation challenges made me fall in love
with him immediately. Eddie, well, he was just plain fun, and a perfect
offset to Gideon.

I really enjoyed
these two characters, and their interaction was just fantastic. Eddie
was such a fun loving character (watch for an interview with Eddie later
this month), and was able to bring joy back to a dark character such as
Gideon. They were truly the epitome of “opposites attract” and with
that, they hit the perfect blend of spice, fun, and heat in the bedroom
(and the kitchen-shhhh, don’t tell the health examiner).

An example of Eddie’s rather fun point of view:

“Eddie
was sure one of them (abstract paintings on the wall) was a picture of
an elephant with an erection, with a dwarf riding on his back. Gideon
had spluttered with laughter when Eddie had innocently blinked his eyes
and imparted that little gem of wisdom.

I
thoroughly enjoyed the journey with these two men, as I do so often
with a Susan Mac Nicol book. There is never a lack of men who are hot,
and a hot mess at the same time with one of her books. I love living in
Ms. Mac Nicol’s world where all the men are in love, looking for their
HEA, and finding it in the most unlikely of places. I emailed Sue as I
was reading LYS, and she sent me this back: “Just wait until you meet
Taylor and Draven. And Leslie and Cameron.” Uh oh, looks like we are in
for a ride, and certainly one I can’t wait to be on!

Final
determination is 4.5 pieces of eye candy, and a “can’t wait for more of
these Men of London” flag that is flying. Grab the book and get on this
train!

Author Interview:

What is your favorite hobby:

Well, it used to be writing ☺ Then I started doing this for a living of sorts and you know what? It’s still writing. I’m not a sporty person so I don’t play any sports, I love to swim when I can but I’m not fond of indoor public swimming pools and I’d rather have my own. That’s not something you can generally do in England…

So for me, both to relax and keep myself and my mind busy, I choose writing. Of course, I’m a HUGE reader too and when I’m not writing, I tend to be reading works by some great authors in my chosen genre.

What is your favorite place to travel-have traveled or would like to travel:

I loved visiting the States back in 1999. I did a whistle stop tour which included New York, New Orleans, Disneyworld in Florida and Kentucky. My favourite city was New York, it was such a thrill to walk down Fifth Avenue and attend a show on Broadway. Next would by New Orleans. I walked Bourbon Street, went down to the swamps in a small paddle boat, saw alligators and had dinner on an enormous steam paddle ship. I’ve also visited Romania and seen Dracula’s Castle and been to the deserts of Tunisia.

I’ve always wanted to go to Machu Picchu in Peru, as I love all things ancient and historical I’m not sure I could handle the weather or the bugs and insects though. I’m not at all fond of creepy crawlies.

What is your favorite recipe-the thing you love to cook just for yourself and/or loved ones:

Aha, since writing a book about chefs, restaurants and cooking, everyone asks me this. And I shall tell you a secret. I’m not into cooking. At all. I’m one of those people who can live on a sandwich, fried egg on toast or a microwave meal. My family are the chefs and they are the ones who inspired me to write Love You Senseless and include two sexy chefs falling in love. However, in my defence, I prepare a mean Mexican dinner of fajitas, guacamole, salsa and all the trimmings. So that’s probably what you’d get if I was cooking.

What is your favorite thing about Gideon-what do you love the most:

Gideon is strong and protective. He’s a good soul at heart despite his grouchy demeanour. I love his capacity to admit the feelings he has for Eddie and admit that he actually does need someone. He’s been so busy pushing people away, trying to deal with things on his own that to see him let his guard down is just perfect.

What is your favorite thing to dislike about Gideon-that one thing that drives you most crazy:

It would be the fact that he tries to do everything on his own, shoulder his grief and torment by himself. It’s a character trait I share and I know exactly how it feels putting on a strong face to the outside world while bottling everything inside. There’s an inescapable truth to life- I think we all need someone to share the sorrows and the ups and downs and I don’t think any man is an island destined to stand alone in a sea of self

R-Rated Excerpt

Flynn leaned forward and kissed him, stopping his words and Anthony groaned softly in the back of his throat as their lips met. His hands pressed into the back of Flynn’s head, as his tongue slid wetly into his mouth. Flynn felt his need for him in the way he kissed. If truth be told, he was feeling extremely horny himself tonight.

It wasn’t the first time they’d made love since he’d been taken by BTK. He’d needed Anthony’s closeness in the following days, his intimacy to try and keep away the memories of being tied down to a table or a bench and threatened with rape and death. Sex with the man he adored was a great distraction.

Their kiss grew in intensity and Anthony’s hands strayed over his backside, pulling Flynn onto his lap, their hardened cocks pressing against each other. Flynn pressed back, his hands impatiently tugging Anthony’s shirt out of his trousers. Anthony stopped his assault on his mouth to look at Flynn with darkened eyes.

“Hell, tesore mio , you taste so good.“ His words tailed off as Flynn stroked his stomach, feeling the hardened muscles of his abdomen as he finished the job he’d started, unbuttoning the shirt completely and sliding his hands across his lover’s broad chest. Anthony groaned softly.

“So do you,” Flynn murmured against his mouth. He chuckled softly as Anthony’s fingers slid under his loose tee shirt and caressed his nipple, one of Flynn’s really needy erogenous spots, which caused him to take a deep breath at the sensations that touch was causing.

Author Bio:
Susan Mac Nicol is a self confessed bookaholic, an avid watcher of videos of sexy pole dancing men, self confessed geek and nerd and in love with her Smartphone. This little
treasure is called ‘the boyfriend’ by her long suffering husband, who says if it vibrated,
there’d be no need for him. Susan hasn’t had the heart to tell him there’s an app for that…
She is never happier than when sitting in the confines of her living room/study/on a cold station platform scribbling down words and making two men fall in love. She is a romantic at heart and believes that everything happens (for the most part) for a reason.
She likes to think of herself as a ‘half full’ kinda gal, although sometimes that philosophy is sorely tested.
Lover of walks in the forest, theatre productions, dabbling her toes in the cold North Sea and the vibrant city of London where you can experience all four seasons in a day , she is a hater of pantomime (so please don’t tar and feather her), duplicitous people, bigotry and self righteous idiots.
In an ideal world, Susan Mac Nicol would be Queen of England and banish all the bad people to the Never Never Lands of Wherever -Who Cares. As that’s never going to happen, she contents herself with writing her HEA stories and pretending, that just for a
little while, good things happen to good people.

Blog Tour Stop, Review and Giveaway: Sleigh Ride by Heidi Cullinan

SLEIGH RIDE

Book Two of the Minnesota Christmas Series

The way to a man’s heart is on a sleigh.

Arthur Anderson doesn’t want
anything to do with love and romance, and he certainly doesn’t want to
play Santa in his mother’s library fundraising scheme. He knows full
well what she really wants is to hook him up with the town’s lanky, prissy librarian.

It’s clear Gabriel Higgins doesn’t want him, either—as a Santa, as a
boyfriend, as anyone at all. But when Arthur’s efforts to wiggle out of
the fundraiser lead to getting to know the man behind the storytime
idol, he can’t help but be charmed. The least he can do is be neighborly
and help Gabriel find a few local friends.

As their fiery arguments strike hotter sparks, two men who insist
they don’t date wind up doing an awful lot of dating. And it looks like
the sleigh they both tried not to board could send them jingling all the
way to happily ever after.

Warning: Contains a feisty librarian, a boorish bear, small town politics, deer sausage, and a boy who wants a doll.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE SERIES

The
Minnesota Christmas series is a light-hearted escape into an idyllic
Minnesota Northwoods small town. Bears and lumberjacks and hairstylists,
oh my—and now, with the introduction of Gabriel Higgins, the most
devious creatures of all. Librarians.
In Logan, Minnesota, you can expect shenanigans, snow, plenty of sex, and always a happily ever after.

Denise’s Review

If you haven’t read a Heidi Cullinan book before, you really don’t know what you’ve been missing. I have yet to read one where I haven’t had at least one moment where my jaw has dropped, and I’ve had to sit back and reassess everything I had already been thinking about the characters. I didn’t expect that in a sweet Christmas story. Once again, Ms. Cullinan has surprised me. A little Christmas BDSM? Why yes, thank you!

In this “sweet” story, Gabriel and Arthur circle around each other trying to decide if this is what they were looking for. Clearly it wasn’t initially, with Arthur adamantly saying he had no desire for a relationship and Arthur having no idea how to keep his orderly world the same as it had been. And yet as they come together you see that they are a great example of opposites attracting. Arthur a short bear type with Dom-like tendencies and Gabriel the tall thin sexually submissive town librarian.

While these two men try to avoid each other, Arthur’s mother has other plans. As they Circle each other we we see that Arthur has endless patience but still a strong edge of pushiness. Meanwhile Gabriel needs his boundaries pushed to realize where he needs to be in life. They learn together and it turns itself into a slightly dirty holiday story. And dirty should never turn off for the holidays. Yay for that!
This book is a mixture of sweet and dirty, loving and angry, and just downright fun. I loved every minute of this book. These two men were just a ton of fun to get to know. Hoping for a Minnesota Christmas 3 next year!! (And just loving some of the great Minnesota references, as usual. I love seeing things in Heidi’s books that I actually have seen before.)
Final determination is 4 1/2 pieces of eye candy. Grab this and add a little dirty fun to your holidays!!

Excerpt: R-Rated

They were at the truck now. Arthur crowded him gently into
the door and stroked his hair. “You won’t mess it up. I promise. But will you
tell me why, seriously? Why you want me? Because I didn’t expect it. I’m…kind
of worried you’ll take it back.”
Gabriel leaned into those hands, staring at Arthur’s lips
nestled in his beard because he couldn’t bear to look him in the eye. “I said
it because when you’re not making me crazy, you make me happier than I’ve ever
been, make me feel freer than I’ve ever felt.” He shut his eyes. “Except I’m
completely neurotic about sex, I’m too fussy and contradictory, and—”
Arthur stopped him with a slow, drugging kiss, lacing his
tongue with Gabriel’s until he whimpered. When Arthur drew back, he nuzzled his
beard at Gabriel’s jaw while he murmured in his ear. “How neurotic you are
about sex is my favorite thing about you.”
Gabriel’s heart turned over, then threw up its guards. “Shut
up, nobody likes that.”

“I do. I want to lap up your neurotic hang-ups about sex
with a spoon.” He kissed Gabriel’s neck. “I want to keep you safe, sweetheart.
I want to be the safe space where you can let go. Because you know I’ll never
let anyone hurt you. Because you know I enjoy everything about you.” He ran his
tongue down the length of Gabriel’s ear, gripping his shoulders when he
shuddered and tried to jerk away—before melting into him. “I want to keep you
safe, but while I do it, I’m gonna fuck the hell out of you. I want to pull at
every one of your neuroses like threads until you come apart in my arms.”

Gabriel’s eyes rolled back in his head—he wasn’t far from
coming apart right now. How he could feel so gooey and yet so turned on at the
same time was something only Arthur could do. “You make me feel so sexy. Nobody
ever made me feel sexy.” He skimmed a thumb along Arthur’s shoulders. “And
safe.”
“You are sexy. And safe. This is all you, Gabriel. You’ve
had this in you all along.” He boldly gripped Gabriel’s erection through his
trousers, massaging it into a full-on iron bar. Gabriel moaned, thrusting into
his hand, and Arthur laughed darkly, burrowing in and sucking on Gabriel’s
neck. “Goddamn, but I love me some kinky librarian. My kinky librarian.”

Excerpt-R Rated:
Then Jim’s arms were around his neck, and Jim pulled him
into a deep kiss. Mark surrendered to the kiss, careful because he could still
feel the remnants of the fever in Jim’s hot lips and slightly uncoordinated
movements.
He laid Jim back on the swag, kissing him so softly that Jim
whispered, “I’m not going to break, you know.”
“I know.” Mark carefully removed Jim’s shirt and pants, then
stripped him completely, kissing him all the while.
He stopped for a moment to undress himself, spared the
horses and the cave entrance a glance, and then returned to kissing Jim. Dan
wouldn’t be back for hours.
Silently he pressed kisses down Jim’s broad chest, nibbling
gently at the hard nubs of his nipples, feeling with gratitude the chest below
rise in a gasp as he did so. Mark tasted the taut stomach, slightly salty with
sweat, and heard a moan of pleasure from Jim. He smiled and licked again, a
gentle dab of the tongue, and got the same response. He listened to the
contented moans from above and kept giv

ing tiny licks and nips down Jim’s
stomach, which was now rolling under him and pushing up into the pressure,
until Jim’s erection bumped Mark’s chin. Mark lifted his head slightly and
carefully took the taut glans into his mouth, tasting more salt—there was fluid
leaking from the tip.

“Oh, Mark,” moaned Jim, his voice throaty and deep.
Mark smiled and worked the glans in his mouth, running his
lips and tongue around in circles until Jim was pressing rhythmically up
against him, pushing for more contact. Mark let his mouth open a fraction more
to allow Jim’s erection to slide gradually farther into his mouth and heard Jim
groan, “Oh-oh.” He looked up to see Jim’s chest heaving and blue eyes looking
down to him, hooded with desire. The taste of salt increased, and
Jim became rock hard in his mouth.
Mark wet his fingers with spit and precum and teased them
around the outside of Jim’s entrance, wetting it thoroughly before slipping a
finger in, then another and another. Jim’s moans became more desperate. Mark
pushed his fingers in and out, circling them, then plunging them in and out of
Jim’s body again and again until Jim’s moans gained a pleading tone. Then he
extracted his fingers and shifted upward to let his own leaking erection press
against Jim’s hole.
Jim grabbed Mark’s hair and pulled him up to kiss him
frantically, his breath coming in rough gasps in Mark’s ear. Mark teased him,
nibbling and ghosting kisses across his neck until Jim begged, “Take me!” and
claimed his mouth in a bruising kiss. Mark lined himself up and watched Jim’s
face for any sign of a wince as he pressed into Jim slowly, his own erection so
hard now that he didn’t have to guide himself in. The hot walls of Jim’s
channel closed around him, and he heard himself give a guttural groan as he
pressed slowly into the warmth and pressure of Jim’s body.
Jim closed his eyes and whispered, “I’m gonna shoot my load
any second.”
Mark whispered back, “Open your eyes, then.”
Jim did, and the desire and pleasure in them was enough to
make Mark growl again, grab Jim’s shoulders, and thrust hard and deep into him.
Jim’s neck arched back, and he gasped. Mark wanted to sink his teeth into that
exposed neck and thrust again and again, but he resisted and stilled, then
pulled himself out very slowly.
“Jesus, Mark….” Jim’s voice was shattered as Mark began to
push in again slowly.
Mark hesitated, then continued, watching the pleasure
contort Jim’s face as he did. Jim’s teeth were gritted as Mark pushed himself
fully home, and Jim whispered, “You’re killing me.”
Mark nibbled on his ear and breathed, “I almost lost you
this morning.” He bucked his hips once, hard, and Jim gave a small noise.
Mark began to withdraw again with agonizing slowness, then
heard a strangled whisper from Jim. “I can’t—”
Mark smiled and thrust himself in again, slowly but
powerfully, pushing himself in until he was fully seated, then giving that
slight buck inward that he knew Jim loved so much. Suddenly he heard Jim gasp
and felt hot moisture between them and Jim convulse against him. He held Jim
through his climax, watching the handsome face tighten and tip away from him as
Jim arched up against him. He pressed quick, hot kisses up the corded tendons
in Jim’s neck and whispered hotly in his ear, “I love you.”
“God,” managed Jim at last. “God.”
Mark kissed him and waited for Jim to meet his eyes again,
then began to pump into him, still slowly, but putting all the power he could
muster into his thrusts. Jim watched his face as he did so, and something in his
look undermined Mark’s control so he began to thrust rapidly and deeply into
Jim. Mark groaned his pleasure with each movement he made and was not sure when
the groans became low growls.
Pleasure began to build in him, each push into Jim’s now
slick, tight channel sending a thrill through his whole body. He struggled to
keep control, but despite his best effortswas soon rutting into Jim’s body with
abandon. When his climax came, it was intense, tightening his whole body and
leaving him shaken.
Afterward he lay beside Jim, grateful to still be able to
breathe in his familiar scent. If Jim had died…. Mark closed his eyes and
pushed his face even closer to Jim.
Jim rolled over to face him and pulled him into a close
embrace, the strong, bronzed arms holding Mark tightly against him. Mark closed
his eyes and tried to breathe.
Jim’s voice broke through the silence. “What do you feel?”
Mark looked up into his eyes. “What?”
“When we do that, what do you feel?”
Mark hesitated. “You. Inside you. The heat.”
“Is it like a woman?”
Mark hesitated for even longer, then whispered, “I wouldn’t
know.”

They lay in silence for a few moments, then Mark asked,
“What do you feel?”
There was a long silence, then Jim said, “You. Like you’re
part of me. Like you come into my body, and we’re one person. And every time we
do it, I want more.”
Mark looked away, then couldn’t resist looking back, and saw
Jim’s eyes gleaming at him. He asked, “Would you go back to a woman? Do you
want children again?”
Jim stared off into the distance. “I don’t think so. Haven’t
thought about it. Have you?”
Mark nodded. “I bet you were a good father.”
Jim’s eyes suddenly turned ice blue, and he turned to Mark
and answered, “If I had been, they’d still be alive, wouldn’t they?”
Mark blinked, unsure what to say, and looked away.

Temptation (Book 2)
Life couldn’t get any more complicated for Rick. He’s going through adolescence and coming to terms with his sexuality, which he hides from his parents.

Meet Mr Devereaux, Rick’s PE and French teacher who Rick can’t stop thinking about. To complicate matters even more, Mr Devereaux is married to the principal of the same school.

As Rick comes to terms with being a young homosexual man, he fantasises about what it would be like to be with an older man. After sneaking into his teacher’s office and almost getting caught out, Rick realises that his fantasies and urges are beginning to take over his life.

One night, at dinner, Rick’s father comes home and reveals some news that sends shockwaves through Rick. His father has just received a promotion at work and has been offered to relocate to London, England for one year, with all expenses paid.

Moving to London would mean that Rick would be away from his friends and Mr Devereaux and ultimately, he tries to convince his father to allow him to stay in Australia and live with relatives while he and his mother move to London. His father refuses, leaving Rick no choice but to pack up his life and go with them.

When they arrive in London things are far from easy for Rick. After finally settling into a new English school, Rick makes some new friends including Nate, who is openly gay.

Together Nate and his friends convince Rick to go to a local bar. There he meets Jared, the owner of the bar, who is drop dead gorgeous, gay and he happens to be an older man.

Rick starts spending a lot of time at the bar on weekends with his new friends, and soon, sparks fly between Jared and Rick.

With Mr Devereaux on the other side of the world, Rick has finally found another older man who happens to be gay, but is he the older man that he wants?

Rick’s temporary life in London is cut short when he suddenly becomes seriously ill and must return to Australia to make a full recovery before he can return back to school. However, it takes Rick longer than anticipated to recover from his illness and unfortunately, having missed out on too much school, he must repeat the school year when he fully recovers, making him the oldest student in his class.

Will Rick finally have a chance with Mr Devereaux?

Temptation is the second book in The Obsession Series, and a prequel to Obsession.

EXCERPTS
EXCERTS FROM OBSESSION

‘What’s your first name, Sir?’ I asked.
He looked at me and smiled.
‘It’s Jacques,’ he said in that accent of his.
‘Jacques,’ I repeated.
‘I hope you don’t mind me asking sir, but do you have any children?’

‘Well, there is nothing for me back in London so I thought maybe I’d start a new life here in Australia, you know, make a fresh start and all that jazz.’
My heartbeat was racing, I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. ‘Are you serious?’ I asked him, horrified.
‘Yes.’
‘Jared you’re a fucking idiot.’ That’s all I could say.
‘Excuse me?’ he replied, completely flabbergasted.
‘Sorry, but you are, you gave up a perfectly good life in London for what? Why, Jared, why would you do something like that?’

‘What ze fuck are you doing, Rick?’ he asked me, obviously shocked.
‘I’m sorry, I really am. I don’t know what came over me,’ I said as I leant forward and kissed him again.

‘I’ve been wanting to this body for the past five years and now I finally get the chance.’ I started sucking again.
‘You know you were right about one zing.’
‘What’s that?’
‘You definitely can give a better blow job ‘zan my wife,’ he said as I placed his cock in my mouth and started sucking again. ‘Now I know what you’ve really been doing all ‘zose times you missed class,’ he continued.

‘Hey Kyle,’ I heard one of them ask. It was Josh’s voice,
‘Yeah?’ replied Kyle.
‘Do you reckon Rick’s gay?’
I froze as I sat there with my pants still down to my ankles listening to what they were saying. I suddenly looked down and realised I had left my bag on the seat outside. My heart sunk.
‘What?’ I heard Kyle reply.
‘Why would you say something like that?’
‘Well, just something I saw the other day at camp, that’s all,’ Josh said, as the two of them continued to urinate at the urinal.
‘What did you see?’
‘Well, while we were all in the main hall playing pool, I walked outside to go and use the toilets. I looked over and saw, Rick looking through the door to the bathroom in the cabin.’
‘So?’ Kyle replied as I heard him zip up his pants and flush the urinal.
‘He had his pants down to his ankles and he was jerking off.’ Josh finished and he, too, zipped up his pants and flushed the urinal.

Excerpt

Chapter One

“Damask? Who ordered the
damask? Certainly not me. I wanted
silk—the soft sage green silk I sent you the swatch of last week!” Chase broke
the connection on his cellular with as much conviction as he could manage.
He swore, wishing he’d taken
that call on his office phone, a good old-fashioned handset device that allowed
you to slam down a receiver so a caller could feel the wrath as you truly meant
it. He shook his head incredulously. Silk. Soft sage green silk—the perfect
material for Ms. Conrad’s penthouse boudoir curtains—and some buffoon at the
warehouse filled his order with damask! The horror swamped Chase, especially
since he didn’t have the opportunity to break a phone receiver at the warehouse
fulfillment worker’s expense.
Only one immediate cure
popped into his mind at this moment—a nine-thirty-in-the-morning moment when a
glass of Scotch whisky, neat, was out of the question—a good, strong cup of the
blackest coffee Chase could find, along with the richest, most calorie-laden
warm cinnamon roll, dripping in buttery, sugary icing. Well, at least the black
coffee, he considered as he looked for the damned silk order form all over his
desk at Just For You, the full-service concierge home store where he was a partner
and worked as the resident interior design expert. I’d have the cinnamon roll and instantly regret the choice. Maybe I’ll
settle for a muffin—easier on the waistline but decadent enough to soothe my
pain, especially if they still have those carrot ones with the cream cheese
icing
.
Chase bolted from the desk
chair with what he knew to be unnecessary force, grabbed his cell phone, and
left his office. Giving his office door as much of a slam as he dared—what if
Stefan or, even worse, Kurt had clients in their offices?—he purposefully made
his way down the wide internal hallway and out to the reception area, stopping
there to address the receptionist and interrupting her from what he was sure
must be a very juicy romance novel.
“Wanda, I’m stepping out for
about an hour. If those imbeciles at the warehouse call about the Conrad order,
tell them I’ll get back to them in about twelve hundred calories.”
Chase barreled past a
stunned and totally-clueless Wanda, down the elevator and headed out onto the
sidewalk. He didn’t care if she understood. Right now, he just didn’t care
about much. The morning air still crisp, Chase took a long, deep breath, as if
clearing his lungs would rid him of the frustration the morning had already
given him. A short walk to the trendy coffee shop on the next corner would be
just the thing to cleanse his mood and give him a fresh outlook for a new
beginning on the day. What had happened to him last week, along with snafus
like this morning, were cutting into his otherwise positive outlook about
himself personally and his burgeoning career as one of the areas up-and-coming
new designers. His thoughts drifted back to how the trouble had all began.
“What do you mean you’re going to ask her to marry you?”
Chase could still remember
the shrieking tone in his voice when he asked his lover of several months how
he could want to be with a woman…and forever. Chase and Brad had been quite the
item—or at least it seemed that way to Chase.
Yes, Brad had been dating
Sylvia when they first met. In fact, Chase remembered the first time they’d
laid eyes on each other—and shortly after, hands, tongues, and…well, everything
else. Their meeting had occurred during one of Brad’s dates with the woman.
Chase had been invited to a
big gathering at a local estate. He’d been privileged to design and supervise a
huge redecoration project there. The invitees numbered over a hundred and Chase
frankly had to stifle yawns of boredom. Good business mandated, though, that he
hang around and be recognized as the person who created the luxurious ambiance
the guests so enjoyed. Regardless of the money their firm spent on advertising,
the best source of leads remained word of mouth and networking. Given how many
people were in attendance and the quantity of champagne the waiters seemed to
be pouring, there would be plenty of word of mouth happening.
He watched as the
hostess—what a pain she had been to work with—wove among the guests, shaking
hands, laughing, making conversation. He even noticed that while she
circulated, her husband used the opportunity to visit with every young, pretty
thing in the room, copping the occasional feel. Chase just shook his head in
wonderment. The woman was a dyed-in-the-wool bitch, but even she didn’t deserve to be disrespected in
that way, especially in front of her guests at her very own house.
What a circus. If I stay about
a half hour longer, I should be able to leave without sacrificing any future
coups.
Chase grabbed another glass of champagne, leaned back against the
stone pillar, and resumed his favorite pastime—checking out the men at the
party. The women held little allure for him, unless they had deep pockets and a
need to hire a decorator. Chase’s interest focused more on the faces, builds,
asses, and bulges of the male guests. He hadn’t been laid in quite some time
and the tension built in him.
He’d just about determined
the dark-haired man with the older blonde woman had to be gay and a hired
escort for the night when someone brushed against his shoulder—a little too
close to be accidental.
“I don’t think you’re
checking out the woman for some action there, pal. I think you’re sizing up her
date. Do you think he’s the right size for you?” the masculine voice whispered
softly, its timbre filled with innuendo.
Chase steeled himself not to
turn around. The thrill the hot, suggestive statement promised had gone
straight to his groin and his dick woke immediately.
Taking a deep breath, Chase
kept his eyes forward but turned his head ever-so-slightly in the direction of
the voice at his shoulder, replying in the same tone the man used. “How very
astute of you. But to answer your question… I don’t know. They say size isn’t
important, but I’m thinking I could use long, hard, and large right about now.”
Chase smiled inside as he considered he’d returned as good as the mystery voice
had given, and the excitement of the game they played made him even harder as
he finished his statement.
“Well, if you need long,
hard, and large right now, maybe you don’t have to search too far away. Why don’t
you just look here?”
Chase turned to face the
source of the mysterious voice and fell straight into the deepest nearly-black
eyes he’d ever seen. The man, his exact height and build, stood eye-to-eye and
so close they were nearly nose-to-nose. Chase’s cock twitched, and he considered
briefly if the mystery man’s did the same, they could duel like swordsman—horny
maleness seeking satisfaction.
“So, it seems you may have
an interest in fulfilling a need I have,” Chase addressed the man, not moving a
muscle closer or backing away. “It’s a powerful need, and it will take someone
of considerable ardor to satisfy it. Do you think you can handle it?”
The dark-eyed stranger didn’t
flinch when he gave Chase a piercing stare and replied in a thick, even voice, “Handling
you expresses exactly what I had in
mind—right now. And I think you’ll find my ardor sufficient to please.”
Chase wouldn’t play games
any longer. It was becoming rather painful, standing inches from what was
quickly developing into a very promising situation. He gave the man a
meaningful glance and made his way down the steps leading off the pool deck
into the manicured gardens below. He strolled slowly but deliberately to the
darkest, most secluded spot he could find. Once there, he quickly freed his stiff
dick. The head already dripped with the juice of potential fulfillment. He couldn’t
resist the temptation to stroke his organ while he waited, hoping he’d been
followed—and finding out quickly he had.
The handsome stranger’s eyes
widened when he noticed Chase’s hand wrapped around his hardened sex, the head
glistening with pre-cum. The man stepped closer, freed his own cock, and
grasped it firmly.
“Beautiful,” he said before
his mouth descended on Chase’s.
Hot, wet, and demanding,
Chase didn’t think he’d ever wanted a kiss so badly.
Pulling back, he managed to
gasp, “I need your cock.”
“And I need yours,” the man
answered then removed his grip on his own staff and led Chase to switch hands, so
he held the stranger’s length and the man grasped Chase’s firmly.
For the next several
minutes, Chase fought to stay ahead of his feelings and his approaching orgasm.
Chase joined their cocks in the same hand, giving each pull of his sex the
double friction of two men’s hands and the feel of another cock rubbing and
throbbing against his—intense and nasty, needy and primal. He deepened their
kiss—wet and desperate. His tongue probed and darted, matching the cock strokes—hot,
horny. Finally, as if on cue, Chase’s release gave way, along with the man’s,
their cum mixing in their hands.
That surprise encounter had
been the beginning of him and Brad. After their adventure that night, Brad
slipped Chase a business card with his contact information and went back to the
party to find his date and girlfriend, Sylvia, who’d made a trip to the lounge
to freshen up. Chase had known about Sylvia from the beginning, but Brad had
been the hottest and sexiest partner he’d ever had. Besides, Brad had told him
Sylvia was a nice woman that he cared about but their relationship was really
no big deal. Brad spent time with Sylvia and never talked badly about her, but
based upon what Brad had told him, Chase believed he used her more as a ‘beard’
to keep the world at large from discovering what a true ‘man’s man’ he was. Brad
always found time for them to get together—and get together they did. They
couldn’t keep their hands off one another. They’d almost been caught several
times.
Chase closed his eyes while
he waited at the light, remembering the feeling of Brad’s hot, wet mouth
wrapped around his dick. And it had been so long since he’d sunk his cock into
Brad’s sweet, sweet ass or taken Brad’s dick into his.
Brad never promised Chase
anything, but Chase had secretly hoped Brad would realize they were meant to be
together. After all, everything with them seemed to fit perfectly. How can Brad not see that? But just last
week Brad had destroyed his hopes with the news he intended to ask Sylvia to
marry him.
“We can still get together,”
Brad had said.
Stricken and lovesick over
the news, he had his limits—fucking a married man among them. Chase called it
off, then and there. After tears, scotch, and a couple of movie musical DVDs
accompanied by buttery popcorn, he’d readied himself to face the world again.
But what did the world give him? Damask! Damned damask!

Chapter Two

Chase entered the coffee
shop, needing that hot, black coffee more than ever. Luckily, there were only a
couple people ahead of him in the queue, giving him just enough time to
consider his choices of pastry. The desired and dreaded carrot cake slathered
with cream cheese icing tempted him mightily but he tore his gaze away from it,
trying to whip up some interest in the healthier but decidedly boring bran
muffin.
“Hey, Chase, what’s your
pleasure today?” Mandy, the barista asked. “You look like your dog got run
over, and you don’t even have a dog. No offense.”
“None taken, and anything
that isn’t made of damask or named Brad will work fine,” Chase answered,
knowing Mandy wouldn’t have a clue what the hell he was talking about but not
being able to refrain from spitting out exactly how he felt nonetheless.
“All righty then… One no-damask,
no-Brad coming right up—not. Would you like to try that order again?” Mandy
laughed, and Chase had to smile at her one arched eyebrow and her cute dimples,
even though they did nothing for him that
way.
“Sure, Mand,” he forced a
smile and called her by her nickname to soften his initial comment. Just
because he felt lower than a snake’s belly wasn’t reason to take it out on her.
He was a regular and she was one of his java besties. They’d passed more than a
few hours when she wasn’t busy, commiserating about life disappointments in
general and man problems in specific. “I’ll just take coffee black this time.
Give me the darkest roast you’ve got ready, please.”
“Want a pastry with that?”
Mandy threw the question back over her shoulder to him while she dispensed the
coffee. He could see the steam rising from the brew, and he was hopeful its
warmth would cure what ailed him.
“Nah, thanks though. I think
I’ll behave myself this morning, though tell your Nana that the carrot cake
should be illegal. I’m going to call the police and have them at her door one
of these days.”
That made Mandy smile and
with a wink, she handed him the cup, took his money, and turned to the next
customer.
Coffee in hand, Chase made
his way to an empty table in the corner. Maybe a few minutes of quiet and hot
java, would pick him up. He congratulated himself on avoiding the muffin, but
he wasn’t entirely certain he wouldn’t weaken, go back to the counter, and get
it and the carrot cake after all. His
current outlook on life? Down—about as down as anyone could be. The breakup
with Brad had really shattered his confidence in the relationship department.
Wait, could we even have a breakup if Brad kept his
relationship with his girlfriend the entire time? What did we
have besides some really hot sex? How much of a jerk am I, believing him and
cheating with him on the side? Shit. That’s so not me—or at least it’s not who
I thought I was or who I ever wanted to be.
Staring into his steaming
coffee, Chase reflected on the realization he’d wasted months of his life on a
relationship that likely was all in his imagination. Brad had used him. He’d
been nothing to the man he cared for but a sex toy, a fuck buddy. His stomach
dropped with the understanding and made Chase feel even worse, if that were
possible. What an idiot! I deserve
someone who returns my feelings and doesn’t consider me just an easy lay—even
if I acted like one!
And then the business—damn that damask! Chase couldn’t even
get an order right this week. Kurt bouncing off the ceiling was a given. He
involuntarily cringed at the thought of facing that when he got back to his
office.
Kurt, one of the triumvirate
involved in Just for You, along with Stefan and Chase, had turned their boyhood
friendship into a partnership that suited each of their individual talents.
Chase had a knack for color and design detail. Stefan was a master carpenter
and all-around handyman, and Kurt possessed an uncanny ability to market, woo
potential customers, and coordinate the financial and physical details of
project organization and fulfillment. Together they’d forged the most
successful concierge design business in the city—and in a relatively short time.
Chase felt pride in the
three of them. They’d met in grade school and been quite the trio. They were as
different as they were alike, and those similarities and differences were what
made their friendship special.
Chase had always been the
smaller, more slightly built of most of the kids in school and the very
interests that led him to eventually become a decorator also opened him to
harassment and bullying. He was proud of his creative eye and his artistic
abilities now, but during those awkward, formative years, they had been challenging,
to say the least.
He remembered it as if it
were yesterday. He’d been walking home from school one day—he thought it was
during his fifth grade year—when a couple of the older—and much bigger—boys
from his class had cornered him against Mrs. Johnson’s hedgerow.
“Hey, squirt, got any treats
in that bookbag for us?” They’d crowded up to him, making him instantly
fearful. It wasn’t the first time he’d been put upon this way by these boys,
and they had friends who did similar things as well.
Chase hadn’t known what to
say. His bookbag didn’t have anything in it they would like, and he somehow
knew that wasn’t going to bode well for him. So, he just remained silent,
waiting to see what fate would befall him. It seemed the safest route to take.
“What’s the matter, buddy?
Cat got your tongue?” The one named Marv put a beefy palm against Chase’s chest
and pushed him back farther against the hedge. The branches poked his back and
he felt the sting of scrapes against his arms. There’d be some scratches there,
for sure. Still he remained silent. What’s
the point of trying to reason with them?
Suddenly the other
boy—wasn’t Chad his name?—grabbed Chase’s jaw and squeezed his mouth into a
painful pucker.
“Hey, pretty boy? Wanna give
me a treat from your bag—or maybe you want to share another kind? I think
you’re one of those sissy boys who’d rather play dolls with the girls and play
mush-mush games with other boys. Is that the kind of treat you’d like to give
us? Gimme a kissy-kissy.” He’d put his face so close up to Chase’s that Chase
could smell his fetid breath.
Man, who’d want to kiss that mouth?
Chase’s fear was momentarily pierced by that thought and he nearly smiled. Now that would not be a smart thing to do.
Chase just remained silent
and still, hoping against hope that they might move on or at the very least,
not hurt him too badly. He’d closed his eyes to wait for their next taunting
salvo when suddenly the hands that had been grabbing at him were wrenched away,
pulling him forward a bit with them.
The memory of opening his
eyes and seeing two other boys, taller than him and definitely more physical,
holding onto Marv and Chad with relative ease, still stayed with Chase. One of
them—he knew now it had been Kurt—addressed the bullies.
“Now what are the two of you
doing? Don’t you know it isn’t a good thing to bother a friend of ours?” Kurt
shook Marv just a little as he delivered the question in a deceptively sweet
and sing-songy tone.
A friend? Chase had seen these two around the school, but they’d never
met, much less formed a friendship. But at this moment, he wasn’t about to
contradict his rescuer’s statement. About that time, the other boy—Stefan, he’d
later learned—literally picked Chad up and tossed him into a nearby bush.
“Don’t ever let me see you near this guy again. If you know what’s good
for you, you’ll give him a wide berth—unless you want to grow up in that hedge
you tried to back him into, that is.” Stefan wiped his hands on his jeans, as
if needing to clean himself off after putting out the garbage.
Giving Marv a shove so he
landed on top of Chad, Kurt clapped Stefan on the back, they exchanged a high
five, and turned to Chase.
“Hey, dude, I’m Kurt. This
is Stefan. Want to go grab a soda?”
And that’s how it had begun.
Their friendship had only deepened since that day. Chase recalled their awkward
phases and the uncertainty, embarrassment then wonder at the realization they
were all gay. They’d navigated the sometimes-treacherous waters of growth from
being children, to adolescents, and on into adulthood—and they’d done it
together. They’d even come out to their families together. What a night that
had been. They’d planned a multi-family cookout, and over dessert of triple
chocolate cake, they’d broken the news. Chase smiled when he pictured the looks
of shock on some of the faces and the mix of reactions. They’d nearly held
their collective breath until their parents had ultimately come to terms with
what their sons had chosen to share with them en masse. Thankfully everyone had
accepted them and who they’d discovered themselves to be. Chase smiled when he
reviewed the memory.
That night, along with all the other experiences we’ve
shared, forged a bond among us that’s saved my ass on more than one occasion.
Life might be shit right now, but my friends are the best.
He might not have Brad, but
at least Chase had his best buddies and his business, even if he would have to
deal with—
I have got to let go of the damned damask! If they won’t take
it back, maybe I can use it in Mrs. Shaupenouer’s dining room design.
Chase had nearly made peace
with the morning’s material order error when fate made him look up, straight
into the gaze of the best-looking man ever born.
Damn! Who are you and where have you been all my life?
The attraction to the tall,
dark-haired man felled Chase instantly—mentally, emotionally, and physically.
He even felt a little lightheaded, which didn’t really surprise him, since so
much blood seemed to have rushed from his brain to his suddenly wide-awake and
rising-to-attention dick. Dropping his head to stare into his now-empty coffee
cup, he suddenly had more questions than answers.

Who are you? Why are you looking at me? Are you interested? What
should I do now?
